Chapter 20 ~ Will You?

Scott's POV
I open the box. Mitch is all wide eyed. He slowly walks over and I smile a little. "Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi..." I start. He puts his hands on his mouth. His eyes start tearing up. "I have known you ever since I could remember. You were always helping me through my ups and downs. Everyday is bliss just to see you. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Mitchell, will you marry me?" I ask, meaning every single word. He starts nodding and says,"Yes. Yes Scott, I do!!" He runs over and hugs me again. Pretty soon we start kissing each other deeply. It went on for what seemed eternity and it felt amazing. We only stopped for breath. Our foreheads pressed together and chuckling. I love seeing him smile. "You should wear it more often," I say. "What?" Mitch asks. "Your smile," I say, with a long grin on my face. He stops smiling and backs away to sit down. I take the ring out of the box and put it on his finger. "Scott, it... It's beautiful," he says, admiring his finger. "I saved up," I say chuckling. I'm not always amazing with my money spending. "I love you Scotty," he says to me, but still looking at his finger. "I love you too... Mitchy," I say, falling asleep. He chuckles and kisses my forehead. As he walks out of the room, I slowly drift off into a deep and peaceful sleep.
Mitch's POV
I can't believe I'm engaged to my best friend. It makes me so happy, I've loved him for so long. And the ring is so beautiful. As I walk out, Scott fell asleep. I quietly closed the door and turned around. Everyone was crowded near the door. Silence. All of a sudden, they all scream, "Congratulations!!!!" I start crying, tears of joy. Everyone comes in for a group hug. "You know what's funny? It just went from very sad to very happy," Kevin says. We all laugh. "Scott's asleep guys, shh!" I say, playfully. Everyone gives me a smirk and we all go to the waiting room again. I sit down very gently, because of my bruises. You don't deserve Scott. "So, any ideas on the wedding?" Kirstie says with excitement. Easy. "I would love to have it back at Scott's hometown, he really misses that place. And he loves sunsets, so when we kiss each other, we'll kiss right when the sun hits the horizon. We would have a buffet and dance under the stars and... Ugh, I can't wait," I say, every word slides out of my mouth perfectly. "What are you going to wear?" Esther asks. I shrug. "OMG, we can take you dress shopping!" Kirstie screeches while looking at Esther. They both make eye contact and nod their heads. "Wouldn't he wanna wear a tux?" Avi asks. "No," I whisper. Everyone looks to me. "A dress is perfect," I say with a smile. I'm smiling. Esther and Kirstie get very excited. Kevin and Avi start congratulating me again. Stop smiling. I ignore my thought, I should've done that a long time ago.
