Planet Nekosei, many millions of years ago

Explosions rocked the earth as dozens of humanoid cat-like creatures fled from the sudden onslaught. Just hours ago, a mysterious spaceship had landed, discharging hundreds of alien soldiers, who quickly began ravaging the planet.

An elderly-looking, blue-furred cat man stood in front of a group of feline children, who cowered behind him as he faced one of the aliens. The creature was over 2 times his height, wearing some kind of strange armor and a device covering one of his eyes. The alien had orange skin, with several horns on his head. Although the old cat tried to look brave, in truth he was just as frightened as the children hiding behind him.

"Wh-what do you want? We never did anything to harm you! We're a peaceful people!" He said. "Of course, most of us are..." he added to himself in his head. He was, of course, thinking of a certain troublemaker who many of the adults simultaneously feared and hated. Although many of the kids viewed him as some kind of hero - foolish little brats.

The orange alien laughed. "As if you pests could ever do anything to harm us! I'm afraid you're just in the way. This planet is the newest conquest of the Arcosian Empire. Once we wipe out the native lifeforms, I'm sure Lord Icer will make good use of it!"

"If... if you want our planet, there are entire continents we don't inhabit! There's no need for us to fight!"

"Ha," the alien smirked. "Sorry old man, but there's no point in negotiating with someone as weak as you, when we can just take what we want!"

He raised a finger, and a bright red flash, accompanied by a terrible noise, cut through the air. The children closed their eyes, and when they opened them a second later, they saw the old cat lying dead on the ground, a smoking hole through his chest.

The kitten-children started crying. One of them, a young female with orange fur, held up the dead man's head, looking into his lifeless eyes. "Grandpa! Grandpa, wake up!"

"It's no use kid, he's dead, and you're about to join him!" The alien laughed.

"You-you won't get away with this!"

"Oh really? And who's going to stop me, you?" The alien's laugh broke into a full-fledged cackle.

"No, Beerus-sama will!"

"Who?"

"Beerus-sama! He's the strongest guy in the world! And when he shows up you'll be sorry! He'll beat you up and send you back to where you came from!"

The alien decided to humor the little girl, approaching her menacingly. "I don't see him anywhere. It looks like it's just us. Or rather, just me..." as he said these words, he raised his finger again, preparing to fire another blast. The kitten closed her eyes, there was a flash of red light-

And, to the alien's immense surprise, a purple blur appeared between him and the child, deflecting the ki bullet away, where it exploded on the top of a distant mountain.

"Beerus-sama!" The girl cried in jubilation, hugging the leg of her savior, whose knee was about the same height as her head.

"What's the commotion here? Are you the guys that interrupted my nap?" The purple-furred, long-eared cat man asked irritably.

"Huh, so you're the guy this little brat was going on about. Well, let's just see," the alien said, pressings a button on the device he was wearing. Numbers flashed across the screen in an alien script.

"12,000, eh? Not bad. Of course, you're no match for my 15!"

To his surprise, the feline warrior was ignoring him, telling the girl and her friends to run off to safety.

"Hey asshole! Pay attention when I'm talking to you!" The alien charged, but was surprised to find his attack rebuffed, and was knocked back several dozen meters across the ground before he managed to get a hold of himself.

"What? But your power level is only-"

"You really shouldn't rely so much on that machine," the cat-man smirked. "Let me show you."

With a howl, a purple aura flared around him, causing rocks and dust to being lifting off the ground, forming a cloud. The orange-skinned alien quickly tapped a button on his device again.

"20,000? No, wait, 30!?" Just as he said that, the machine exploded, leaving him in shock. "I... I can't handle this alone! I need reinforcements!" He quickly took off, flying at top speed back towards the spaceship, a glowing white ki trail behind him.

Before he had gotten far, a purple blur crossed his vision, and the being called Beerus was floating in the air in front of him.

"Going somewhere?"

"Gaaah... DIE!" The alien hissed, holding out both his arms in front of him, and fired a massive wave of red energy, lighting up the horizon. When it dissipated, the purple cat was still there, licking the back of his paw, his fur not even singed.

"Is that the best you can do? I was having a nice dream too, before you woke me up... I dreampt I was catching a giant fish and gutting it. I guess I'll just have to gut you instead!"

Before the alien could react, he felt one of the creature's paws impale him in the stomach. He gasped, trying to cover the open wound with both hands.

"You... you might kill me, but my commander is a lot stronger!" He boasted, trying once again to fly away. However, Beerus quickly snapped his neck and carried the alien's dead body back to the ground, where several of the cat children were forming a circle around him, cheering.

"Beerus-sama! Beerus-sama! I knew we could count on you!"

"Hey! Didn't I tell you brats to get lost? This is no place for kids!" He scowled at them, but the smiles and hope on their faces wouldn't fade. He sighed, and dropped the body on the ground. The little girl from before ran up and kicked a bit of dirt onto the dead alien's face, making Beerus chuckle slightly.

"We're safe now, right?" Another one of the children asked.

"I'm not sure. This guy said his boss was stronger than he was, and I think he might have been telling the truth." He looked off into the distance, near the landing point of the spaceship. He could feel a strong power there, which made him kind of nervous, but also excited.
