Cas had been acting really strange lately. He got agitated easily, and would only stay at the bunker for a half an hour, max. You asked Dean and Sam if they knew what was going on.

"I don't know, (y/n)," Dean said. "Maybe it's something going on in heaven."

"Yeah, probably," you said, walking off. You went to your room, deciding to read a book you recently got on a hunt. As soon as you sat down, Cas appeared in front of you.

"(Y/n), I need your help," he said calmly.

"Why? Is something wrong?" you asked urgently.

"I... Umm... My wings are molting, and I need your help with it," he said quietly.

"Errr... Sure," you said awkwardly.

"Thank you," he answered. He turned around, so his back was facing you. The lights started to flicker, and went out for a second. When they came back on, their were two large, black, fluffy wings behind Cas. Your mouth dropped open in shock, before you quickly snapped it shut.

"Woah," you said under your breath. You stood up, and tried to grab a wing, but Cas flinched away quickly.

"Sorry, I'm just not used to anybody touching them," he spoke apologetically.

"It's fine Cas," you muttered, still in awe from the wings. They weren't just solid black, they were iridescent, glowing green, blue, and purple in the light, sort of like a raven's feathers.

You reached to touch them again, and this time Cas kept them still. It seemed as if he leaned in slightly to your touch.

"So, what do I do? Pull feathers or something?" you ask, unsure of what to do next.

"No! No, don't pull the feathers, that will hurt immensely," he quickly said, "If you run your hands through them, the loose feathers should fall out."

"Ok."

He stretched his wings out to their full length, which from wing tip to wing tip, touched the walls of your bedroom. As you tangled your fingers in the feathers, you realized how soft they were. Nothing on Earth were as soft as Castiel's wings.

"Oh my god," you muttered in fascination.

"(Y/n), please do not use my father's name in vain," Cas told you sternly.

"Shush, Cas."

You continued to run your fingers through his wings. As you did, older, grosser looking feathers fell to the floor. After a while, you finished the first wing, then the edges of the second wing, you made your way to the center of the second wing. There were a LOT of feathers! Small, large, shiny, dull. Finally, you finished it all except the center of the wing. A lot more feathers started falling in this area. Cas seemed to be getting more and more flustered throughout the process, and he was blushing profusely. His wing fluttered for a second, pushing your hand away.

"Are you alright Cas?" you asked, concerned.

"I-I'm fine," he answered. His voice seemed to be extra deep and husky. Maybe you're just imagining it.

"Good. We're almost done, I've just gotta finish this last spot here," you told him, pointing at the spot.

"Ok," he said. He sounded slightly disappointed. You smirked a little, chuckling lightly.

Almost done. Dang it, this was really fun. And super relaxing! You thought to yourself.

As you put your hand over the final spot, you felt Cas shiver.

"You sure you're alright, Cas?" you said.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just please continue," he rushed.

"Fine, fine. Geez, calm down," you told him.

This spot was even softer than the rest of the wing! You dug your fingers in, feathers going everywhere. Cas shivered again, this time even more intense. You ignored it, brushing it off as he probably still was getting used to contact with his wings. You slowly started running your hands through the final spot, enjoying the intense softness of them. Cas leaned into your touch. You massaged the spot, wondering what Cas's reaction would be. He groaned loudly, and stood up quickly. He turned around, his face beet red, and eyes wide. Suddenly, he gripped you tight, wrapping his arms around your waist, and his wings around the both of you.

"(Y/n)," he said huskily.

You gulped, and softly spoke, "Yeah?"

Cas quickly leaned in, and crashed his lips to yours. After a moment of hesitation, you kissed him back.

"I feel very... different," he said, confused. His voice was super deep.

You giggled, and kissed him again. Of course, Sam decided to barge in and interrupt this amazing moment.

"Hey (y/n), I-" he started, before seeing the two of you.

"Go away, Sam," Cas growled.

"Okkkk..." he said awkwardly, closing the door behind him.

After Sam had left, and the door was fully closed, Cas looked back at you. He grinned, and pulled you towards the bed, wrapping his arms and wings as tight as he could without breaking you.

I am SO glad Cas asked for help, you thought, grinning ear to ear.
