It took about thirty minutes before everyone had arrived. It was at least a hundred people that showed up. I didn't pay much attention to everyone. I was only focused on finding Anthony. But I didn't see him, even after the last person walked through the door.

Jasmine was here, and surprisingly so did Mykia. "Hey, twin brother." She smiled at me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.

"To support you, and Jasmine." Mykia said, earning a glare from Jasmine.

"It's okay, you know he'll understand. Tell him the truth." Jasmine said.

"Let me guess. You came to support me and your girlfriend." I said, smugly.

"How did you know?" Mykia asked, her eyes widening.

"Twin telepathy. And I can see you two holding hands." I said, pointing out their locked hands.

"Yeah, that's totally obvious." Jasmine said, with a small smile.

"Well, I'm happy for you two." I said, still looking around for Anthony.

With everything going on at once I really couldn't focus on one thing. My mind was going different directions all together. I was honestly getting dizzy. How do you try to dodge your boyfriend when you just found out his parents are murders and you might be next? Why isn't Anthony here? Is he dodging me? Is it because I was dodging him in school? Why am I doing this to myself?

"How are things between you and Pete?" Jasmine asked, taking me out of the shit show of my mind

I need to tell them about Pete's past, but how do I go about such a thing? It's terrible, and I don't want them to know that I could be a potential victim of his parents murdering spree?

"I found out some dark things about his past." I said, trying to ease into it

"Like what?" Mykia asked, sounding concern.

"His parents died in a fire and he was adopted by the same people who burned his real family." I said, watching their eyes go wide.

"What?" Jasmine asked.

"Yeah, his adopted parents are murders and killed his real family." I repeated, sounding more nonchalant than I should've.

"How did you find this out?" Mykia asked.

"That wall over there has old newspaper stories. One of them is of a fire. Then Diana told me the rest." I said, pointing over to the wall.

It still bothered me how Diana was acting when she told me the story. It scared the living crap out of me. I can't believe she was there, watching her friends burn alive.

"Are you talking about Gwen and Mary Beth?" Jasmine asked

"Yeah, she told you the story?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"She told me more than just the story. She showed me pictures of them. She cried every time she spoke of them. It was like they were family." She said.

That just made me even more sad. That's really terrible. I wish there is something I could do to help, but there's nothing I could do about death.

"Why didn't they go to jail for this?" Mykia asked.

"They never found evidence to convict them. They got away with it. But Diana knows the truth, but there's nothing that we could do about it." Jasmine said.

"Well, let's jump onto another subject real quick. What are you going to do about Pete? I mean, his parents are murders. They could kill you." Mykia said.
