Chapter 7: Saving Slendie

I woke up still in Masky's arms, he realized I was awake. He pointed to my stomach, and I saw that I wws nearly healed. I said amazed

"Who did this?"

He said

"Slendy, Dr. Smiley, and I. I made sure all of your organs were there, 'cause Dr. Smiley can be very sneaky." He snuggled closer and whispered

"By the way, you're even more attractive than you already are, in your sleep. I almost had the urge to kiss you in your sleep."

"Did you?"

"Yeeessss. Multiple times actually...Are you mad?"

"No. I'm happy, but I'm kind-of worried about...Toby."

"I know. Slendy, Hoodie, Jeff and EJ went looking for him last night. They haven't returned.  I got worried so I called Hoodie's cell, but he didn't answer."

I sat up more and said

"We have to go find them. What if they're all hurt?"

Masky got a wide-eyed look, and bolted up off the ground with me in his arms, he gave me his crowbar, and we went out into the woods.

2 hours of walking around,  to me, it seemed we've been walking in circles. Everything looked the same as 2 minutes before. Masky kept trying Hoodie's cell, but it went straight to voicemail. Masky screamed into the phone.

"HOODIE! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS! WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU, ALL OF YOU FOR HOURS..."

While Masky screamed into the phone,  I looked over to a nearby tree, I looked up and screamed.

Someone was impaled on a tree branch, they were still bleeding and grunting, trying to free themselves. I've seen that person before. It was BRVR, a creepypasta that I'd researched years back. Masky pulled me away from BRVR. He said scared

"Did he see you?"

I shook my head, confused.

"Why?"

Masky said in a low tone meaning I had to be quiet

"He was one of ours,  but when he turned my sister over to Zalgo, he is no longer considered one of us, he's Zalgos' and now he's gotten his ass handed to him."

Masky said the last part while looking around the tree, I bet he was smiling. I sure as hell was. BRVR then got himself off the branch, and landed with a grunt onto the ground. How in the hell is he still alive?! He began walking towards our tree,  but then stopped as a deer came out of the woods. BRVR looled at it in hunger, it took off as BRVR took a step towards it. BRVR then ran after it, disappearing into the woods.

Masky walked out from behind the tree first,  he said

"Coast is clear! You can come out now."

I hesitantly stepped out into the open, and joined Masky under the tree BRVR was impaled on. Masky said

"It was Slendie, Slendie impaled BRVR into that branch, I'm surprised myself how he's still alive. He completely 100 percent human, same as you and I."

I saw a blood trail, I followed it. Masky soon caught up with me, I saw something pale lying on the October ground,  covered in blood. I then realized it was Slendie. I ran over and said

"Slendie?! What happened?!"

He mumbled something that I couldn't make out, he kept repeating it. Masky came over and said sadly

"He's saying Janice. M-My sister. He was close to turning her back into one of us, but BRVR interfered. She ran back to Zalgo"

I began to cry, he was the closest thing I had to a father, and a friend. He was the best thing I've had in my entire life, even though we only met a couple of days ago,  I felt like we've known eachother for eternity. Slendie then said in a hoarse voice

"Astrid... I-It's up to you now..."

I looked at him in confusion and said

"What's up to me?"

Slendie grasped my hand with the strength he had left and said

"You have to get Janice back...then kill Zalgo. W-While he's still alive, she's under his com-complete control. Kill him, it breaks the bond."

His tight grasped loosened as he drew his last breath. I said as my voice broke

"Slendie?"

He lyed on the ground not moving, or saying a word. I tgen knew that he was gone.

I looked back at Masky and saw tears emerge from the bottom of his mask, he was crying. He bashed his crowbar into the tree next to us, screaming curse words as he did so.

He screamed at the top of his lungs

"I'M GONNA FIND YOU ZALGO, YOU SON OF A BITCH! FOR WHAT YOU DID TO JANICE! FOR WHAT YOU DID TO SLENDERMAN!!! I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!!"

I've never seen him so sad before. I hated it, I looked down at Slendie again, and kissed the top of his forehead.

I said as more tears flowed down my cheeks

"I'd wished we gotten here sooner, of we'd had Slendie would still be alive."

I looked back at Masky who was still as stone. He was looking at Slenderman's body. I said

"Masky?"

He ran away from me and towards the house, I followed him. I yelled after him as he burst through the door, and grabbed the phone.

"Masky! Who are you calling?!"

"Ben."

"Why?"

"He can save him! He's the only one who can!"

13 minutes later, Ben materialized in the center of the living room,  holding two rods attached to a backpack. I guessed that those were the things that he needed in order to revive someone. I then said

"It's hot in here..."

Ben winked and said

"Its cause I'm here, Babe!"

Masky growled, and shoved Ben out the door. We were going to save Toby, and the rest of them.  But first we were saving Slendie.
