2 hours pass and still no word from from the crew. Mia came out after awhile to work around and calm her nerves. When she walked out I had made a makeshift bed out of the table. Very uncomfortable, but you gotta work with what you have and sadly this was no pillow factory in the past.

"What is taking them so long?" Mia asked exasperated.

"If you have no clue, neither do I. Just relax, I'm sure they'll be here in a little." I tell her. I try to hide my nerves, but I don't think I'm doing such a great job at it. I sit up on the table and hang my legs over the edge. I pat the spot beside and Mia sulks over and hop on the table. We sit there in silence, deep in our thoughts. Finally, I decide to break the silence.

"Do you think I could go into town tomorrow? I guess scope out the area.. I don't think I'm much use cooped up here." Which is true. I don't want to be stuck here in one place when I could be out there making myself useful.

"Calm down, Avery. I'm sure Dom and Brian know what they'll phave you do. Besides it's only the first day, so don't freak out just yet." Mia laughs as she tell me to chill.

I'm about to say something, but I hear cars approaching. Going into attack mode I grab Mia and hide her behind the staircase while I grab a pipe and crouch in front of her. I peek around the corner as Brian calls out for us. Mia stands up and runs towards him and I trail behind her.

"What were you doing back there Aves?" Brian asks and I want to tear up as I hear what he calls me. I try to compose myself before he notices that I haven't answered him. After a few seconds, Mia tells him that she was making sure it was just them and not anyone else.

"Avery, come here," Dom calls me over to the table. I walk over to him wondering what he needs.

"What's up, Dom?" I ask.

"Let's go for walk." He leads me outside and we walk over to what used to be a small garden. Now there's plenty a bunch of rocks and dried weeds. I follow him down the path and he finally stops in front of a concrete wall. I lean against it waiting for him to say something.

"Sooooo..... what do you need?" I ask anxiously.

"We burnt all the money we found at the safe house." He says out of nowhere and doesn't elaborate. It doesn't surprise because this is a man of few words.

"You care to elaborate? Why did you do that? I thought you wanted to take all of his fortune." I ask him. If he doesn't tell me, I'm going to see what I can get out of Roman. He seems like the type that would easily be charmed.

"I need you to go into town with us tomorrow. We are going to keep track of the movement going on at each of the cash houses where Reyes keeps his money and see where he is going to be keeping it. There are nine cash houses left and we need to be near each of them to see the activity going on. Once you see some movement, follow them or just let us know that they are on the move. Brian is going to take you to the one assigned to you. It's near some stores a few blocks away from the beach. Find a place to watch, but don't make it obvious. Do you understand?" He looks at me as I grasp what is about to go down. I finally nod my head yes and he starts to walk off. I get off the wall and follow him back to the warehouse.

"Are you going to give a gun or something? I'm cool with some pepper spray, too though. I mean, how else is a young and innocent girl going to defend herself?" I ask as nicely as I can. Dom looks at me and smiles as he tells me that he'll see what he can do. Once we get back inside, I walk over to my usual spot at the stairs and sit down. I wrap my arms around my legs and lay my head on my knees. I close my eyes and begin to doze off.....
