Missy rounds another corner, running deeper into the complex of the cave. "Help!" cries Grace.
Suddenly, Missy stands on the edge of a rail track right above a river of flowing, hot magma. "Ah!" Missy says stumbling backwards. "I nearly went for a swim in lava!" She thinks to herself. Another scream interupts her thoughts. Missy's eyes widen as she see's Grace wrapped tightly in cobwebs and surrounded by 5 cave spiders.
"I'm coming for you Grace!" Missy calls out to her. But she knows in her mind that the gap over the lava is too big to jump, she was going to have to find another way across, and fast.
The cave spiders draw closer to Grace every second, almost as if to taunt her with the fact that she was soon going to be eaten alive. The fear in Grace's eyes is tremendous, she knows that Missy won't be able to reach her in time. Missy works frantically chopping down the wooded supports trying to build a bridge across the lava river. Suddenly, the spiders have waited long enough and one jumps in the air, fangs ready to peirce her.
*THUD* The spider crashes to the ground, blood pouring from it's side."What's going on?" Missy thinks aloud. Out of nowhere a stranger wearing a grey striped hoodie emerges from the shadows of the cave, bow aimed at the spider's head.
No longer concerned with a simple meal, but threatended by this strange figure, the cave spiders charge the stranger. The boy sends several arrows flying into the spiders skulls, each of them dropping cold onto the cave floor. With the threat of the cave spiders gone, the boy walks over to Grace, freeing her from the cocoon of web.
"Thanks Declan!" Grace says, clearly still in shock from the events.
"Wait, what?!" Missy calls out.
Missy skillfully jumps over the rest of her gap, getting a head start from her makeshift bridge, then stumbling while landing crashing face first into some cobwebs.
"Missy! Be careful." Grace says trying to hold in her laughter.
Embarressed, Missy frees herself from the webs and stares, confused at this boy in a grey hoodie. "Declan is it?" Missy asks hesitantly "How do you two know eachother, and why are you here?"
Declan laughs "One question at a time! Yes my name is Declan, Grace and I are good friends, we used to meet up on a different server and make pixel art" Declan goes on. "The reason I'm here is I am looking for an adventure and I heard this server was haunted."
Missy now feeling a little less weary about the situation asks. "Well hey, Grace and I are searching for Herobrine, he's rumored to be on this server. Wanna team up?"
Declan smiles. "Sure! But first, let's get out of this cave before any more mobs show up."
