Minecraft: The Last Few Standing

Chapter 5: A Rivalry Begins

After several minutes of collecting wood, cobble, and minerals, Missy and Austin head back toward the base.

"Here" Austin offers, "That iron is heavy, I can carry it for you."

"Oh, thanks." Missy smiles, then immediatly feels her face growing hotter.

"So... where is this so called, base of yours?" Austin asks trying to break the scilence

"It's near an old abandoned mineshaft, we decided to set up perminetly there because of all the resources." she explains

"Woah hold up.... what do you mean "we"? Are you already traveling someone else?" Austin urges for the answer.

Startled by his demanding question, Missy says,"Yeah, Me, Grace, Emma, and Declan are all on the hunt for Herobrine already, we want to find out why he's haunting the island."

"Declan?.... Oh, so you are dati-" Austin says starts but is cut off.

"What?! No! I'm not dating anyone! I have always been alone... sure I've had my friends but, when it comes down to it I have to rely on my own strengths. I've never had anyone who would hold me and comfort me when I'm so close to loosing it..." Missy gazes off to the side, her long brown hair swoops down, concealing her misty eyes.

Austin hugs Missy, arms wrapped tightly around her, brushing her hair out of her face he then says, "Well, I will always be here for you, from now on I won't let anything happen to you." He blushes turning his face away so Missy won't see, and smiles to himself.

With a face bright red, Missy just stands in the comfort of Austins arms, wishing the moment could last forever. But then he slowly loosens his grip on Missy and his arms drop to his side.

"Welp, we better get a move on back to the base, the sun is starting to set." Austin says, beginning to walk toward the direction of the base.

"Right" Missy says, heart pounding she follows quickly behind him.

Missy opens the door to the base, "Hey, I met someone while collecting supplies everyone one say hi to Austi-" she stops, confused by what she sees.

Austin enters the base behind Missy, he suddenly stops, "Hold up, you only mentioned three other people, who is she? he guestures toward a girl with long brown hair, wearing a white shirt with a flower in her hair.

The girl gets up, walks straight over to Austin and stops a few inches from him, "I'm Dat Minecraftygal, but you can call me Thalia, but enough about me, tell me more about you." She says with a sly grin.

Missy stands off to the side, face flushed fully red, anger boiling in her stomach, finally when she had met the guy of her dreams, this girl was stealing him from her! "What am I going to do?" Missy thought, worrying.
