"Blair please open the door! This is not funny!" I screamed through the door,
"Yes mommy," She giggled,
"no Blair its time to go please un lock the door!" I yelled again, this time pounding on the door,
A slight knock on the front door startled me, I walked down the hall and swung open the door with my fists clenched,
"CAN I HELP YOU?!" I growled grinding my teeth angrily,
"Hey babe, whats wrong," My husband cooed, I was pulled into a hug and my hair gently stroked. He dropped his bags behind me and kissed my cheek.
"Blair locked herself in our room and i'm late for work!" I cried, this time tears falling down my face.
"Go to work babe, i'll take care of her,"Jayce told me kindly.
"Thank you, i'm so sorry this has been such a crazy morning!" I sighed stressfully running a hand threw my hair.
"Its ok go now!" He called behind him,
I smiled thankfully and gave him a small wave before climbing into my truck and starting the engine. It roared loudly and I smiled down at the old interior and laughed to myself, thinking about the memories this truck as carried. I backed out of the driveway and sped down the road realizing how late I actually was.
"Dam," I cursed under my breath, within minutes I pulled up into my office parking lot. I dug out my set of keys and got out of the truck with ease. I turned the truck off and smoothed down the back of my tights in hopes to get all the dirt off my bottom. After closing the truck door and juggling the office keys in my hand I reached the door to lobby. I un locked the door and stepped in, I flicked on the lights and smiled at the greetings i got from the squawking birds in the waiting room.
"Dr. is that you?" I heard Kathy the vet tech call,
"Yes i'm just feeding the birds," i relied making my way to the cages,
"I found this little one this morning," She worriedly informed me, I looked over to the short brunette girl that stood a few feet away from me, She wore her normal white scrubs and sneakers while holding a small mutt in her arms. The sweet smell of puppy aurma filled the small waiting room,
"Lets have a look," I smiled at her taking the pup from her arms, I walked back into my office taking the thermometer off the stand. Placing the puppy on the table Kathy stuck the tool into the pups behind, it let out a quick single yelp before settling down with both of us patting it soothingly. I turned my back swiftly to set up the examination table, I know that was the job of the vet tech but I liked doing it. Me and Kathy always worked as a team,
"You can take it out now," I told her,
"No fever," She informed me,
"Good bring it over here now," I ordered kindly, I quickly wrote down on the patients chart. Kathy lifted her to face me,
"Female," I noted quietly scribbling more on the chart,
"Start the scan, we are about to open," I smiled cheerfully.
