I wanted to get away from this place of terror and demonizing once and for all. I want a better life without killing innocent people. My "father" is a monster. He turns demonic orphans into killing machines. The training is unbearable with standing on hot rocks, being whipped if we made a single sound during meditation hours, only eating 1 meal a day....

And worst of all, if you try to escape the dojo, you get put in the cage with no food until morning, where you will be struck on the death post in front of your "brothers" and "sisters" as they refuse to protest at you dying because of you wanting to be free of all the burden. No one has ever made it farther than the bamboo forest. The so called siblings you live through the pain with hunt you down and put you in the cage. If you manage to put up a fight, they'll try to kill you then. The hellhole they call home is one of many secret dojos. They train potential demons to become assassins, killers, and full fledged demons.

But you don't have to have a cold heart to be a master of darkness...
And you don't have to endure pain to do so either...

I took my necklace my little sister gave me and used my climbing claws to get to the top of the wall. When I did, I gazed at the forest in front of me. The cool breeze brought the smell of bamboo and spring waters. I inhaled and hid myself with my dark powers, my figure began to dissolve from my feet to my head. When I was completely hidden, I couldn't stare at the view for much longer. I heard footsteps and swords being drawn in the distance behind me. In my plagued mind I heard whispers from the shadows.
'.......Traitor......Weak....Punishment.....Kill.... No brother......False demon......Death......'
I jumped off of the wall into the forest and ran as fast as my legs could carry me. They were already after me and they weren't going to stop until my death was certain. My powers would have to wait until later, so I revealed myself to them to save my power. My only hope was for them to lose my scent. I bursted ahead with whatever I had left and hopped into the river. I don't know how long I stayed in the river, but it felt like eternity.

When you jump into a body of water, your scent fades a little and whatever piece of the scent that was there would spread out across the whole thing. The downside is that once you get out of the water, the scent comes back in seconds, giving the demons a stronger scent to follow....unless you used a lot of soap.

I slowly got out of the river and rushed to the next checkpoint. I could tell the forest was getting less dense. After this last one, it's a mad dash for the exit. I ran into the forest again to escape my captivity. My feet were bare to avoid leaving footprints, but tears were threatening to fall down my pale cheeks as my skin came in contact with the jagged forest floor. I stopped to look at my feet and saw nothing but a crimson liquid lathering the bottom of my feet. I had no time to stay still for long, so I went on to the next checkpoint. In the distance I saw a tiny light beaming down the path. As I neared an army of footsteps came my way. The tears in my eyes fell to the floor as I begged the heavens to not let my fate be this way. My chocolate eyes adjusted to the light to uncover an old house. I stretched out my arm and reached for the sealed house. The footsteps came closer and closer...

My hand gripped the knocker and my body fell exhausted. My limp and thin figure fell to the floor. The whispers and footsteps went away as a small smile appeared on my features. Everyone else wasn't fast enough, wasn't skilled or gifted enough, and not intelligent enough. At the dojo, father called me "special" and "unique."

I felt a pair of arms lift my tired form up, and I was carried into the house. My vision went blurry and faded to black.

Something warm and soft was residing on my forehead. My eyes blinked open as my body remained stiff from my escape. 'Escaping that place was too easy. I need to keep up my guard until I can find some real help.'  I heard a pair of footsteps near the door, so I closed my eyes and stayed motionless. The bamboo door opened and whoever they are, one of them shuffled into the room while the other stopped in the middle of room. "Poor child, Zao must have treated him the worst." Her voice was slightly cracked and old. Right then, my body tensed and forehead immediately went dripping with sweat. A slightly wrinkled hand was resting softly on my cheek. The lady must and her accomplice must have witnessed my reaction, because her hand slipped away from my face as the other stranger spoke. "Ka, he's awake and it's apparent that you frightened him." His tone seems offended and wise, but his footsteps were a little heavier. He sounded younger, too.
"Child, we know you're awake."
I slowly opened my eyes to see a slightly old woman and a man who seems to be in his 30s. The woman, who's Ka, I suppose, she grasped my hand and used her other hand to gently help me into sitting position. When I looked into her eyes directly, I saw a mixture of curiosity and love, strangely.
"Is there a reason why you're here my child?" Her voice croaked. I was too scared to say a word to her. The middle aged man looked at me with an eyebrow raised. His dark orbs glanced all over my features until he met my eyes again. Out of instinct I turned away, but he asked me a question I hardly ever answered. "Can you tell us your name by any chance?" I slowly turned my head back to him with an expressionless face.
"People call me Onew, but my real name is Lee. Lee Jinki."

Ghost Shoguns
(Commonly refered to as demons)

Shadow Travel(Dark Elemental)- The user's body dissolves into the shadows. While in the shadows, the user can also travel from shadow to shadow and come out at his/her destination.

Boost/Dash(All Elementals)- The user will make use of their element(s) to push forward at unbelievable speed for only a certain amount of time depending on his/her ki (chi) status.

Demon Transformation(Dark Elemental)- The transformer will change his/her eyes' appearance and they will grow two fangs on each side of their mouth. This only depends on his/her status of power. Once transformed, he/she can use his/her 다만 어두운(dark justu). Dark Jutsu is a special form of bending. It allows you to control darkness, make clones from shadows, enhance weapons, and use the Kana(anime lovers should know what this is). When your iris changes to its essential color, the white around your iris changes to black. Around the eye itself, veins will appear. Back to the iris color, there are different colors that represent different demons with different strengths:

Red: The most common of demons. Like every other demon, they crave blood/flesh and CAN eat human food. Red-irises can camouflage with invisibility and can sense movement by sensing a person's sins. They are very weak compared to some other types, but against a human they're much more able to win. At times they're merciful, but if you betray them once, it's VERY hard to get redemption. They change vividly, when angry or sad they can get desperate with killing you if you're on the recieving end.

Yellow: The same as red, but not as common. Yellow-irised demons have special Kanas that can change at will, but to red Kanas ONLY. Along with their Kanas, they can shapeshift. However, their yellow irises won't go away, which makes them easier to spot if you have some knowledge. When blending in with humans, they seem like experts. Yellow-irises are almost exactly like humans, demon powers aside. Strange enough, they even have...uuuhhh....fashion sense...*wink wink*

Silver: Silver irises are rare, and they're a dangerous package to mess with. They have a temper and have very scary Kanas. Their Kanas are SEVERELY dangerous. Blood-lust is very apparent when it comes to them, so don't get too close. Silver-irised demons are no where NEAR merciful, so don't even try if you get kidnapped or surrounded. Be nice and stand your ground if you want to get by them.

Blue: .....If possible, stay out of their way as much as you can. Blue irises are THE rarest of them all. They have the power of ALL the demons, can kill A LOT of people *ahem* ALONE *ahem*, and will do just about ANYTHING to sate their hunger if it gets too high. Their temper is like 1,000+ Silver-irises, sooooooo KEEP YO TRAP SHUT!! Blue-irises are so strong they can take out a major country in ONE. FREAKIN. SWOOP! They have better tempers only when they have partners (if you know what I mean) and messing with their kin and/or friends is a death sentence. Blue-irises are very silent and hard to spot in a crowd. Just to sum this up, if you want to live, BE NICE. If you wanna be a freshman, it's YOUR funeral...NOT. MINE.

(A/N: Obviously, you guys should know by now that he has a few neat powers of darkness. Some will be commonly used, others will be revealed when something 'happens' ;) )
