I got this walking thing down, again. I can walk up and down stairs now. I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks of break to get use to running so Nick and I can still run when we go to school. Nick has been practicing all weekend.
"Nick, you have all break to run around the yard." I say from the door.
"I know but, finals and such coming up shortly after break since we all get out of school after them, I need the practice!" He yells at me. I shake my head and James walks out with a baton.
"Nick are you sure you don't want to like, wait for this when Aleks can help too?" He asks, probably unsure if he can keep up with him.
"Yes I'm sure, Aleks can like, time us and shit." Nick says tossing me a stop watch. I shrug and lean against the post holding the watch.
"What kind of time are you hoping for?" I ask.
Nick thinks a minute. "Well we're running out of the yard, down and around the block, then back up the yard to the tree so, under 2 minutes?" He says.
"Under 2 minutes?!" James spazes.
I chuckle. "You can do it James, I believe in you. I walk over to him and whisper to him. "Do it for Seamus." I say smiling. He nods and goes over to the tree. I lean back against the post, looking at the two. "Ready! Set! Go!" I yell starting the timer as Nick and James run out of the yard.
Once them go around the corner I stop paying attention. It was Sunday, we had nothing to do tonight but prepare for Mikes arrival. I was so excited, I haven't seen him in like, ever. Well a couple months but that's still long!
Nick comes running into the yard and taps the tree, i top the timer to mark it. It keeps going until James gets him. James comes up hitting the tree, being out of breath. I stop the stop watch and look at it. I smile slightly.
'Nick your time was a minute and 20 seconds." I say, he seems happy about that. "And James, yours was a minute and 45." I say smiling at him,
'You mean I did it in under 2 minutes?" He asks.
"Mhm, 15 seconds to spare." I say showing him the stop watch.
He got really happy, I guess telling him to do stuff for Seamus helps him out. I'll have to remember that in school. "Alright guys, that's enough, come inside." Jordan calls from the house. The two of the groan and drag their feet inside. I went in casually, I'm happy about tomorrow.
Thou I'm still worried. I didn't get to tell Mike that I was with someone so, what if his feelings are still there? I don't want him and Eddie fighting. Maybe I'm over exaggerating. When I got inside there was pizza sprawled out on the table.
"Oh yum." I say walking over, grabbing a slice.
"Yea I didn't know what you and Nick liked so I just went the safe way, pepperoni and cheese." Jordan says.
"I like hamburger, bacon, and black olives." I say around a mouth full.
"I just pretty much anything on pizza." Nick says eating.
"Good to know, I'll keep that in mind." Jordan says.
We all ate in the kitchen, talking about sleeping arrangements for Mike when he gets here. It just came down to Him bunking with Nick and since Nick has been none stop training he said he didn't care.
It was settled and I went to relax in my room for a bit, watching videos and eating another piece of pizza. I'm going to bed early today so I can get up early and be here for Mike in the morning, He has an early flight so he can sleep on the way here and not be scared shitless.
Eddie wasn't going to bed this early, I told him to stay up and have fun. That I would be alright by myself for part of the night. It's only nine and it's my friend that's coming. He shouldn't have to go to bed at nine because I have company.
I finished my video, and pizza. I clicked off everything and turned my laptop off, setting it back on the end table. I crawl under the blankets and close my eyes, trying to fall asleep as fast as I can. Tomorrow, Mike comes, and I feel it's going to be a long two weeks.
