Sparks.

That was all you saw behind your eyelids as you kept your lips on Hiro's, unsure of his response. Sure, it was only a gentle touch, just enough for Hiro to have the option to pull away if he had to. But to your surprise, he didn't. And as he slowly brought his hand up to your hair, being very careful not to touch the bun that you carefully styled, his lips moving with yours in perfect synchronization as he got over his initial shock, once more you lost yourself to the moment. The perfect moment of bliss.

Eventually, as your lungs screamed for air, you let go, slowly backing away to see Hiro's smile faintly return, his eyes alight with gratitude and relief.

"I love you," he simply repeated, and hearing those three words once more made your heart flutter even wilder than before, a laugh eventually escaping your own lips as you threw your arms around Hiro yet again.

"I love you too, Hiro," you murmured. This apparently set up some serious hype among the rest of the audience, because now they were clapping and cheering and even wolf-whistling.

"Alright, lovebirds, time to cool off!" you heard Mr. E chuckle, and you only laughed as you waved to the crowd, pulling Hiro by the hand until you both got offstage. Then you turned to him.

"For how long?" you asked him quietly.

Hiro shrugged. "Since...since that fight."

"Oh." Guilt clenched in your chest as the things you said to him echoed in your mind, and you felt like breaking down, right there and right now. But Hiro was quick to sense your pain. He quickly brought his arms around you.

"(Y/N), it's okay. There's nothing to be guilty of. I swear," he whispered. "We've made up, okay? Just put it behind us."

You nodded. "Th-thanks, Hiro. I'll try."

"No. Say you will."

"Okay, I will." You managed to smile and nod with a bit more affirmation, knowing that your best friend would never have meant any harm just because he went bot fighting. Perhaps Gogo had a point. What if all he did was...what if all he did was meant for you?

"Alright kids. Curtains open in 3 hours now, but I don't expect you both to be hanging around," Mr. E reminded you, and you nodded.

"Of course, Mr. E. Silly us," you said with a light laugh.

Hiro nodded as he saw Edward approach him on his crutches, holding out a garment bag.

"You'll need these costumes for tonight. Hopefully they'll fit," he said, shrugging.

Hiro laughed and smiled in gratitude as he took the costumes from Edward. "Here's to hoping for a good show tonight."

"I'll be watching," Edward warned playfully, pointing at his own two eyes before directing them back at Hiro, who just chuckled.

"I know you will," Hiro smirked, and he waved as Edward hurried away. Then he turned to face you.

"Shall we?" he asked you his hand held out to you.

You smiled as you looked up at Hiro. So much has changed over the last two years you were with him; every day you spent with him seemed to open so many new doors to new experiences and opportunities. And despite the bump in the road that made you both think differently of each other, it was amazing how you were able to get over your differences and regain your friendship, and even something more. In that moment, you were grateful to be with him. Because past the pirouettes and the bets, there's still you, there's still him, a pair of best friends and now something a lot more--not only your boyfriend now, but also someone who wants to help you achieve your dreams.

In that moment, you knew that you had to help him achieve his too.

So you nodded as you took his hand again, your fingers tightly interlocked with his.

"Let's do this."

The next two weeks flew like a blur. As expected, there was a LOT of chaos with you finishing assignments and projects and, yes, your ballet production every single night. But you had to admit, unlike the past, this year you seemed to have a lot more fun. Not only were you doing a LOT better in SFIT assignments, but you have never felt yourself smile so wide every night you laced up pointe shoes and danced and watched, from side stage, the entire show.

"I've never seen you smile so wide before," your mom told you one day, just on the third last day of your two-week production.

You only turned to her and smiled as you finished your hot chocolate that your mom gave you, just before you left for SFIT. "I suppose it's because someone actually decided to take the guts to apologize to me," you only responded.

"Ah. Hiro actually apologized? That's a surprise," your mom commented lightly.

"Actually, I called him over to help Edward, since he sprained his ankle," you told her. "And then...well, let's just say we were both culpable of what we did that night."

"So he forgave you?"

You nodded. "I did too. And I guess it's safe to say, we've probably become something much more than just friends now too."

"NO WAY! No wonder--wow!"

"Yeah."

"Now I REALLY have to see you guys perform tonight!" your mom finally cheered. "And I can invite the rest of the gang too, and OH MY GOODNESS how AMAZING can this be?"

"MOM!" you cried, but you eventually grinned at the prospect of the entire gang seeing you and Hiro dance to this Christmas classic.

"Oh, this is going to be EXCITING!" your mom cheered again, dancing around and squealing all over the house, making you giggle as you waved at her, picking your bag up and exiting to SFIT.

"DID HE REALLY?!" Honey Lemon's squeal made you laugh as you felt Hiro wrap an arm around you. It was break time now and the six of you were lounging around in the general lab now, chatting like old friends probably always would.

"Yeah. And I guess you can call us a thing," Hiro said proudly, making Fred and Wasabi grin and Gogo smirk knowingly.

"So, that explains why you both look so happy now, right?" Gogo asked, popping another bubble from her gum.

You both nodded. "I couldn't have felt happier," you admitted. "And I owe it to him."

"Oh my god. I HAVE TO SEE THIS!" Honey Lemon cried, jumping up and down in excitement and even pulling Fred up as she leaped around. "I have to see you two perform! Like...now! Or even just tonight! Hey, at least tell me it's not too late to buy tickets!"

"I got the tickets already!" Fred assured her, pulling out four tickets from his pocket. "And we're watching them...uh..."

"TONIGHT!" Honey Lemon cried, her shout making Fred cringe. "AHH this is AWESOME!"

You laughed. "Sounding every bit like my mom, I see."

"Your mom was like this?" Hiro smirked. "I guess it's a good thing we're together, then."

"More than that," you nodded, smiling at him. "Way more."

Crappy. UGH. So much for me thinking "WHAT MY EXAM ISN'T TODAY IS IT I LEGITIMATELY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE TODAY LIKE WHEN IN THE WORLD DID MY PROFS SAY IT WAS TOMORROW LIKE WHAT WHAT WHAAAAAAAT?!" and now I come here and think, "Crap, I have NO IDEAS for updating."

Like, none.

So if this isn't up to your standards, I apologize.

I might even just edit this later for the hell of it.
