"I heard about that whole incident." He says to me

I hardly remember who he is. I remember everyone else but him.

"You almost had her. You should've did it alone. Im so close to getting her. Just a matter of time before I hit 87."

I gulp hard

Why would he want to go to 87?

"Why would you do that when you can go straight to 88?"

"Because I want to finish his work."

"Whose work?"

"Phoenix kill him!!!!! Kill him!!!!!" I hear Jered yell while running into the room

I freeze up and look at Red.

"Do it!!!! Kill him!!! Its a projection! Its not him!" He screams

I can't.... I can't do it.

"Come on Nixxy, you can do it." Red whispers

It pisses me off

"Don't call me that!"

I look him right in the eyes and his wrist breaks

A bullet wizzes across the room and Red falls backwards

His head slams against the floor

Guards rush in and pick him up

"You know the best part of freedom?..... they can never take it away." He laughs while they drag him across the floor

I follow them down the hall along with the others

I recognize this hallway.... its the hallway where I got sedated

Karen steps out of her office and grabs Red by the throat

"Only one way to find out." She says while reaching into her pocket

She pulls a needle out and holds it up to his neck

"Hey bitch, its almost done." He says while closing his eyes

He fades into thin air right before our eyes

"Damn it." I hear Jered whisper

I turn around and walk back to my room

I stand in front of the door and stare at the keypad

What was the code again?

Mina walks besides me and punches the code in for me

"Rough day." She whispers and walks away

I enter my room and lay out on my bed

Whose work is Red trying to accomplish?

I hear my door open and sit up to see who it is

Its Jayce.... he looks a bit troubled

"Phoenix, did he hurt you?" He sits next to me on the bed

"No, he said that he's trying to finish 'his' work."

"Krgon." He whispers

"I thought he disappeared."

"He did, he just tried to overthrow Karen like Red and like you."

My heart beats faster

"Then why did he disappear?"

"Who knows? He's smart, he's trying to take back what he had."

I lay down and stare at the ceiling

"He was president of the United States and Karen was the first lady. There were terrorist attacks everywhere. Every country, every continent. There was a lockdown and every person on Earth evactuated to the ports. The ultimate security measure" he says while laying down next to me

"How do you know this?"

"I talk to a few people that used to live on Earth."

He turns his head towards mine and smiles

"Listen Phoenix, you've always protected me against those bullies and.."

"You don't need to thank me Jayce. You know we look out for each other."

I turn my head toward his

"These people that you talk to.....are they good?"

"They want to go back... its been years since they've been on Earth. The only threats that we have are from people trying to kill Karen because she keeps us here. She wants to control everyone."

I sigh

"Does she have powers too?"

"Of course she does. Mind control."

Makes sense.

"We're planning an attack on Karen. This time we all have to listen."

I feel like this is all my fault
