We nod and run to the escape hatch
Anna turns the wheel and the lock adjusts
There's a window that I can look into Karen's office with
Krgon stands over Karen's body
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out some powder, dusting it all over her body along with the rest of the office
He reaches into his pocket again and pulls out a lighter
No, he's gonna kill himself!
"Krgon!!!!!" I bang on the window as he ignites the flame and lets go of the lighter
Anna yanks me away from the door
The escape hatch is huge
It's large enough to fit even more people than we hoped
"My family is in 87!" someone yelled
"Mine too!" another voice yelled
"My sister is in there!" a man yelled
"Releasing the prisoners happens to be the worst option!" Anna yelled back
People started to fuss and groan
We walk over to the front of the hatch and strap ourselves into the front seats
Anna fires up the engine
"How the hell do you drive this thing?" She mutters
"Hope for the best." Jered says and laughs
"I helped fly this craft in the first place." A deep male voice said
We all turn around
"Commander Harris at your service." He salutes us
"Commander, take us home." Anna salutes back
He slides into one of the empty seats and presses a button
"Everyone take your seats and buckle up. We're going home." He says over the intercom
People start to loudly cheer
We're going home....
Earth...
Jered slips his hands into mine
I look to my left and see Jayce sitting next to me...
Tugging on his sleeve and nervously looking out of the window
Anna and Mina sit next to each other and grin with delight.
Here we go.....
Earth.
