Clinton's POV

Date: 11/22/15

Location: 10 miles north-west of Stephenville, Texas

Weather: 33 degrees ferenheit, windy, partly cloudy

Time: 2:30 P.M.

As this girl and I walk, I just realized that I didn't know her name.

"Excuse me, but what's your name?" I ask.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She says.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you Sorry, I'm Clinton Anderson." I say as I shake her hand.

"I'm Jessica Smith." She chuckles just understanding my joke.

"So what's up?"

"Okay, so, the reason I'm here, is because I was looking for somewhere to spend the night, I didn't come here on purpose, actually, I agreed that the first ranch I find, I would ask to spend the night. I know that doesn't sound good, and I'm sorry, I just thought I give it a try." She says looking at her feet as she walks.

"Well, tell me why your here? Have you been jumping from ranch to ranch or something?" I ask shoving my hands into my pockets.

"Well, I was in a relationship with guy, and I lived at his place, about 20 miles north. Well, we were in a 'relationship' for about a year, and he forced me into things, that I didn't want to do. I've lost touch with my family because of him." She says starting to cry.

"It's okay, lets just talk it out." I say rubbing her back, although it was awkward, I felt like it made her more comfortable.

"And, just this morning as I was about to leave on Moon, forever, he grabbed my leg, and pulled me off of Moon, and I slammed down on my back, and he grabbed my arm, and bruised it." She says covering her face with her hands. "I was done, and fed up with it, I just had to leave, I couldn't handle it anymore."

"It's okay." I say pulling her in for a hug. "You can stay here as long as you need."

"I'll pay, I brought some money with me." She says as she pulls away.

"No, no, don't. It's fine. I have an extra room in my house, it won't be a problem." I say as I start redirecting her to the house.
