Mariner Bay, 2000, 11:00 P.M.
Carter knelt down behind a bush as he watched the priest lock the door to the Mariner Bay Cathedral. 'I can't believe I'm about to do this. Breaking into a church just for a stupid challenge? This has to be an all time low!' He thought to himself. Once the priest left he hurried to the door with his backpack in hand. He pulled out his lock pick and worked at the lock.
After a minute or two, the door opened and Carter slipped inside, closing the door quietly behind him. He made his way into one of the Sunday school rooms located on the 2nd floor and snuck inside. 'I cannot believe I'm doing this!' He repeated
He went over to the mirror on the far wall and opened up his bag. Producing a can of salt he formed a semi circle with both ends touching the wall. He then placed 7 red candles all around the circle at even distances. 'Now what do I do. Oh wait...'
Turning, he placed the crucifix behind him on the table upside down. 'Now for the final step.' He sighed. Carter faced the mirror and stared deeply into it, wishing strong for the desired goal. Finally prepared, he closed his eyes and counted to 10. Slowly he opened his eyes....to see his own reflection. Grinning, he shook his head 'I knew this was a joke' He thought 'It was just a story.'
But then he realized there was something off about his reflection. When he looked closer his reflection grinned at him and his eyes took a red tinge to them. The challenge was true!
