Meanwhile, the real Carter was still thinking about what had transpired earlier. A new wave of anger clenched his stomach as he sat there. Suddenly, a burst of goldish light flashed into view, causing him to shield his eyes. When the light died down, Carter was shocked at the results. There, across the room, stood Olympius. "Hello Ranger, remember me?!" He laughed.
Carter slowly got to his feet as he tried to decide if it was an illusion or not. "You can't be real." He gasped. "We destroyed you!"
"Oh he's real Ranger. There is no fantasy here!' The Devil's voice exclaimed.
"And now I get to finish what I've started!" Olympius added.
Carter adopted a defensive stance, preparing for the unavoidable. Extending his hand, another light appeared. Moments later, Olympius was holding his staff. Now armed, Olympius charged. Carter had to move quickly to avoid the swinging weapon. He sidestepped the first swipe and managed to duck under the second before receiving a powerful blow to the stomach. With immense strength, Olympius kicked hard, sending Carter to the floor.
Carter leaped to his feet and was under attack immediately after. Olympius blocked Carter's kick with his staff before swinging hard. Carter managed to dodge the swinging staff, but was hit by the backhanded punch that followed it, knocking him to the floor once again. Laughing, Olympius charged Carter, who braced himself for the oncoming attack.
Aquabase
'Carter' walked into the main den of their quarters to find the Rangers still watching TV. At the sound of the door, Joel was on his feet. "Hey man, I'm really sorry about earlier." He apologized.
"Don't worry about it." 'Carter said, shrugging it off
"Why didn't you go sleep?" Kelsey asked
"Because I didn't want to." 'Carter' replied, a slightly harsh tone behind his voice.
"Okay." She said, "Calm down a little."
"Maybe you should go get some sleep." Chad suggested.
"Maybe you should stay out of it." He replied.
Chad held his hands up innocently as he backed down. At that moment 'Carter' notice that Ryan was staring into his eyes again. "Can I help you?" 'Carter' demanded.
"Yeah." Ryan replied, "You can tell me what your problem is."
'Carter' was about to reply when Captain Mitchell's voice came over the PA system. "Rangers to training facility." He ordered.
After a moment, Ryan backed down and they headed for the Rescue Rover. Once they were all inside, 'Carter' hit the gas pedal and the Rescue Rover sped forward.

Carter crashed into the wall and landed with a grunt of pain. "You may just give up Ranger." Olympius taunted, "You're stuck here for eternity."
Struggling to his feet Carter began to plan his next attack. Suddenly an idea sprang into his mind. 'If fantasy isn't present here then maybe...' New hope surged through Carter as he stood prepared. "Lightspeed Rescue!" He called, hitting a button on his morpher.
In a flash of red light, Carter morphed and seconds later, the Red Ranger stood prepared for battle. Olympius charged Carter, who drew his sword and accepted the challenge. The two slashed each other across their chests, sending sparks flying. 'Good. At least the armor is still functional' Carter thought.
Raising his sword, he blocked Olympius' staff and pushed him back, only to receive a kick to the stomach. Before he could recover, Olympius slashed him again, knocking him over. "Even with your powers, you're no match for me!" Olympius declared.
"We'll see about that!" Carter yelled
With a yell of defiance, he charged towards Olympius.
Training Facility
The Rescue Rover screeched to a stop and the Rangers stumbled out. "Go!" Captain Mitchell called.
The Rangers took off in separate directions and did their everyday routine. However 'Carter' took over 4 minutes to complete his part. Once Captain Mitchell dismissed them. The other Rangers returned to the Rescue Rover.

Sparks flew as Olympius slashed Carter repeatedly. One powerful strike sent Carter spinning to the floor. Growling in frustration, Carter stood up and held out his hand. "V-Lancer: online!" He called.
Normally, the weapon would teleport to his outstretched hand. But, to Carter's surprise, the weapon did not. Olympius laughed in amusement. "You're pathetic weapons can't reach you here!" He exclaimed.
'Then I'll have to make do with my blaster' He realized. Olympius swung hard, knocking the sword from Carter's grip. Carter kicked out, blocking a swing from Olympius. Quickly he managed to plant a kick on Olympius' chest before receiving a kick that sent him stumbling.
Olympius grabbed Carter and threw the Ranger across the room. 'There has to be something I can do!' He thought. Then he spotted a weak point in his chest. 'He doesn't have his Star Power!' Carter realized. Before he could react, a laser beam fired from Olympius' eyes and struck Carter in the chest, sending him to the floor with a burst of sparks. "Revenge is sweet!" Olympius yelled.
Carter lay weakly on the floor, struggling to get to his feet. He managed to pick up his sword before a powerful slash knocked him into the wall and back to the floor. This time, the Ranger lay motionless. "Now to finish you off, once and for all!" Olympius declared.
Pointing the blade of his staff at him, Olympius approached the downed Ranger.
