Prosecutor's Office - Niamh Wood's POV

(It's okay... You can do this... It's fine...)

I had been placed on a murder case at the business corporation known as GatherLaw Incorporated. I'm the main prosecutor, of course, but I was told that someone else wanted to work with me. So, I was waiting for them.

I looked around, squeezing my Magatama in my gloved hands. I had a habit of doing that when I was nervous. I knew nothing about who I was working with, so needless to say I was paranoid out of my mind.

After what felt like an eternity, the door swung open with a creak. Stood in the doorway was a woman, a prosecutor, I'd never seen before. She had a dark purple shirt on with dark blue trousers. She wore black boots and had blue eyes. Her dark auburn hair was down with the exception of two braids on either side of her face.

(Okay! Don't panic! You can do this! Don't mess up!)

"Hi...!" I called out to her.

(Darn it!! I messed up!!)

"You must be Niamh." she said, approaching me with a hand outstretched. "My name is Amy. Amy Kalles. I've heard a lot about you."

"Y-You have...?" I asked, shaking her hand awkwardly. "I'm sure I'm not famous... I'm not that good of a prosecutor..."

"Oh, don't be so modest." Ms. Kalles smiled. "This case could be your big breakthrough!"

I smiled a little awkwardly; I knew her words were false, but it felt nice to get encouragement for a change. Ms. Bloom's 'Go die in an assassination like your parents' remarks get pretty old pretty quickly.

"Well then, shall we be off?" Ms. Kalles suggested. "We have a crime to investigate."

"R-Right!" I nodded. With Ms. Kalles by my side, this investigation couldn't possibly go horribly wrong!

GatherLaw Inc. - Lobby 2

THIS INVESTIGATION WENT HORRIBLY WRONG.

We arrived in the lobby and was immediately greeted by Mukuro and Detective Erikson. "Hey!" the former waved. "We had no idea you were on the case!"

"I-It was kinda a last minute thing..." I explained. "They couldn't get anyone else to do it, so..."

"Nonsense." Ms. Kalles shook her head. "I personally requested that you be placed on this case."

Before I had any chance to ask why, Ms. Kalles turned back to the detectives. "Can you please take us to the crime scene?" she asked them.

"Of course. Right this way." Detective Erikson led the way further into the building, pulling a file out of his coat pocket. "Victim was one Wallace Hector. Cause of death was a stab wound to the chest with a sword."

"S-Stabbed?!" I repeated, images flashing through my head. I shut my eyes tightly in an attempt to block the images out. I felt an arm slide around my shoulders, shaking me. I slowly opened my eyes and found myself staring into Mukuro's grey irises. "Are you okay!?" she cried.

"Y-Yeah..." I nodded slowly. "I just... don't think I should go to the crime scene yet... S-Sorry..."

"Oh, no need to apologise." Ms. Kalles shook her head, her hand on my shoulder. "I forgot that such things make you pass out..."
