The sun shone in my eyes, and forced me to look away. It must've been morning. Wait, what? Where am I? I looked down, and I was on the ground. Behind a building, sleeping in grass. What happened last night?
I get up and brush the dirt and grass of me, and start walking. I kept on wondering what happened the previous night. Last thing I remembered was being at the high school, and Vivian storming off. That's it. That's all I remember.
I just have to retrace my tracks, and then I'll slowly remember. So, Here I go to Vivians.
The walk was short, about two blocks, and only stopping at a convenience store to grab some chips.
I walked up the stairs to her porch, and hesitate. I take a deep breath, and ring the doorbell.
Cade answers. Well, duh. I doubt I've ever seen anyone else answer the door. It's like he has nothing better to do. Doesn't he have a girlfriend or something?
"Oh, hey Cierra. Here to see Vivian?"
"Yeah. Is she here?"
"She actually just left about ten minutes ago to go find you."
"Oh, thanks anyways. Which way did she go?"
"That way!" He pointed the opposite way that I just want.
"Ow!" I held my head in one hand, and grabbed the wall with the other, leaning on it.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just got a migraine?"
"What are you hungover?" Hungover. Yes! Now I remember! At least, some of it.
"Nah, just get headaches alot. Well, thanks again, Cade."
"No problem!" He yelled as I walked down the stairs. I heard the creaking of the door, and then it closed behind me.
Now I remember what happened after.
I was upset about what happened with Vivian, so I just started walking.
I walked down the street, and into an alley. There, I say Liam and a few of his friends.
I passed them, and Liam called out to me.
"Hey Cierra! Why aren't you with V?"
"She's mad at me."
"Ditto! What'd you do?"
"I took 'er to the roof of the high school blindfolded, and made her sit on the edge. Forgot that she was afraid of heights."
"Wow. Bad mistake on your part!' His words were slurred. He was obviously drunk.
"Want one?" He held up a can of beer. I was in a fight with my best friend, my parents probably hated them. It was like everything that could go wrong, did go wrong!
"Sure. I could use something to get my mind off the chaos." I took the can of beer, and drank it all in one gulp. It tasted rotten, but I forced it down.
"Easy there, don't want to get..." He just stopped talking then.
"I'll be fine." I threw the can at one of his friends. "Thanks." I walked down the alley.
Okay. So I was drunk. I did something that I wasn't supposed to do. Whatever, what could've happened? It's not like somebody died! I just had to clear my head of all this madness: I have to find Vivian.
I walked all over town, and finally gave up. I decided to walk town to the old elementary school playground.
There was Vivian, sitting on top of the metal monkey bars. She was wearing blue jeans, converse, and a grey tank top, that said:
