Chapter 4 What to do?

Kyles phone beep, as he was watching the security cameras.

~Hey Kyle it's me, Rigby~ Kyle smiled

~Hey Rig, what's up?~

~Not much, just can't sleep.~ Kyle knew Rigby was a light sleeper, but what could be troubling his mind at this time?

~Are you okay?~

~Yeah I just have a lot on my mind~ 

~Wanna talk about it?~ 

~Yes and no~

Kyle didn't reply right away, he debated if he should ask Rigby to meet him so they could talk. "But it's too sudden isn't it?" with a deep sign he risked his only chances of being friends with his ex. 

~I close up in an hour or so, do you maybe want to meet up somewhere?~

Rigby stared at the ceiling, Kyle had gone from quickly replying to not at all, "maybe he got busy" Rigby thought. Just then his phone vibrated. He read the text "It's kinda sudden isn't it, but maybe talking will help and I can finally sleep."

~sure, do you know where the park is?~

~Yes I do!~

~ok I can meet you in the front gates~

~okay sure! see you soon~

Rigby smiled, it felt nice talking to someone other then Mordecai, sure they had been best friends but he wasn't that outgoing as Mordecai was. Mordecai could make friends in a flash while he couldn't. Rigby got off his bed, grabbed his sweater and went outside to wait for Kyle. He didn't have to worry about Mordecai, the only sound that would wake him up was the annoying ringing of the alarm clock.

"Brrr it got colder," Rigby said as he walked to the entrance of the park. Time passed as he waited, blowing his hands for warmth every now and then. His phone beep.

~Hey I'm almost there~ Rigby was relief

~Okay ~   

He soon spotted Kyle, he gave a small wave. As Kyle waved back and jogged to him.

"Hey Rig" said Kyle with a smile

"Hey" 

"Man it's cold, how long have you been waiting here?"

"Eh maybe an hour or so, I don't know"

Kyle grabbed Rigby's hand 

"Whoa, your hands are freezing!"

"It's fine"

"No it's not, here I have some gloves in my pocket." Kyle gave Rigby his green gloves, each one on the bottom having the first letter of his name. Rigby smiled 

" Your grandma still gives you gloves for Christmas?"

"what...oh yeah," he said with an embarrassed laugh. Rigby gave him a small laugh.

"Thanks."

"yeah sure no problem, so umm what did you want to talk about."

Rigby looked at him and back to the park

"Wanna sit down?"

"Sure."

Rigby went to a bench not to close to the house just in case. He and Kyle sat down.

"So now do you want to tell me what's going on."

Rigby took a deep breath. 

"Ok so You just came back into my life after I forgot all about you, and you say your a changed man, and I really wanna believe that but I don't know cause half of my brain is saying don't trust anything he says right and so I have to now deal with you and Mordecai who  after you left me with, started to ask questions about us and how we meet and where we meet, it was so annoying I know he's just looking out for me but come on! I can take care of myself, maybe not in strength, but I can outrun whoever tries to mess with me. Now I don't know if I should tell Mordecai about us, but there is no us, so the before us, but what if he hates me after I tell him? and he leaves me alone? I can't be alone. I would be so bored all this effort on keeping our friendship could come to an end if I tell him what happen to us in the past and I don't know if I want to remember the before us because I just want to forget it ever happen. But I can't...I really can't and I don't know what to do.."
