Chapter 2 Friend date

" Can we take a break now? " asked Rigby for the 1oth time since they had started doing their work.

" For the last time, No dude! look were almost done, just gotta rake the leaves and we can go get ready," said Mordicai 

"Ugh! but I'm tired and hungry! and it's hottttttt, come on man. Just for a few mins, PLEASE!!!" Rigby asked with a pout, as he widen his brown eyes, giving Mordecai an adorable look. Mordecai just stared at him, Not so much as faced by the look, he was used to it since Rigby as made the look. Knowing he wouldn't stop asking for a break. Mordecai just shook his head.

"Fine, why don't you go get us some water bottles, while I go get the rake." 

Rigby smiled wide "Okay sure! I'll be back quick!" and with that, he ran to the house, Mordecai just sigh and got to work knowing that Rigby wouldn't be back.

Rigby at the house laid down on the couch, he'd never work this hard. "Hmmm he must really wanna hang with her this time, but man why do I have to be drag down with him!" Rigby thought. As he stared at the ceiling. He's thoughts slowly going back to his old past. He remembers a certain person he was trying  to forget, someone with green eyes, and messy blonde hair. "those muscles how they used to hold me, and his sent, oh how I miss him.......Wait no, ugh what am I thinking." he said as he stood up. "That happen years ago Rigby, you have to forget him and move on. You have to....." With that, Rigby looked at the clock. "Damn, it's already been an hour! Mordecai's gonna kill me!" As he ran to the door he bumps into his friend.

"ow," said Rigby as he fell down.

"oh sorry dude, you okay?" said Mordecai, as he helped his friend up. 

"yeah yeah, it's cool. Sorry man I must have spaced off. You still need help?"

"Naw its cool, I'm done"

"you're....done?"

"yep, I'm taking a shower and get ready. you should too since Eileen is going as well"

"aw man"

"quick complaining, you own me since I did your work just now."

"pfft it's not like I asked you too," Rigby mumbled.

"hmm? You said something?"

"no..."

"good" Mordecai said as he went to get ready.

Mordecai put the same clothes as always, but with sprayed a little cologne on, not the smelly kind he bought last time. but something he  thought Margaret would like. 

"dude you done?"

"yeah I've been done since this morning!

"Come on man, at least, let me spray some cologne on you"

"Eww, no way man! I don't want Eileen."

"Come on dude, If I wear it myself Margaret will think it's weird, or something."  

"It is weird."

"No, it's not, now come on!"

"Ugh fine!" Rigby said as he waited for Mordecai to spray the cologne he didn't want.

"Okay now let me do something about that hair."

"No way man! this isn't a date okay! it's just a much of friends hanging out together!"

"Come on dude! at least, let me make it look like you didn't just wake up."

"NO! I don't want you hands anywhere near my hair!" said Rigby as he backed away from Mordecai ready to run if he got any closer.

"ugh fine! whatever, let's go," said Mordecai as he started walking downstairs, with Rigby behind him.

"so where are we meeting them?"

"at the coffee shop, they're getting off work soon." 

"oh okay."

as they arrived Margret and Eileen greeted them.

" hey guys you ready?" said Margaret

"Yeah totally!" said Mordecai. 

"Hey Rigby," said Eileen

"....Hey, Eileen." Rigby said in a bored voice.  

"So where are we going to hang?" asked Margaret

'Oh well, there's this new arcade place me and Rigby have been wanting to check out. I mean if you guys...I mean girls are cool with it?" said Mordecai 

"Yeah sure that sounds like fun!" said Margaret 

They head to the arcade place, Margaret and Mordecai talking a  few bits here and there while Eileen keeps trying to get Rigby's attention.  

"Looks like we're here guys!" said Rigby excited to finally get Eileen to stop talking, no offense to Eileen it was just that Rigby didn't feel that way about her. The arcade was big, with so many games to play, but most important they now had pizza. 

"Whoa this place looks wicked awesome," said Rigby really ready to play.

"Yeah it's pretty cool, and brand new so all the games work really well." said Mordecai.

The gang got their tokens and went to play games, the night way going well. Mordecai made Margaret laugh many times, and Rigby got along well with Eileen after finding out she could really play video games. 

"Man I'm hungry!" said Rigby

'Yeah me too." said Eileen

"Who's up for pizza?" said Margaret

"I think we all are," said Mordecai. 

"Great you guys find a table while me and Eileen order some."

"sure !" Rigby and Mordecai found a table in the back close to the window

"OH man it's going so well!" said Mordecai

"yeah who would have guess"

"and you with Eileen!"

"pfft, nothings going on were just friends man."

"yeah sure just friends." 

"Stop talking!" Rigby said as he gave Mordecai a weak punch on the shoulder.

Mordecai laughs " okay okay, whatever you said, dude."

"ugh, I'm going to the bathroom."

"Make it fast man! pizza could be here any minute ."

"Yeah yeah," Rigby said as he went into the bathroom. Being fairly new bathroom it was so clean, Rigby was amazed. "whoa so clean....." he said as he stared at this reflection.

"Nice huh, I'm glad you like it." said a strange voice.

Rigby turned around, his eyes open wide as to who was there in front of him, he was speechless. 

"Hey Rigby, nice to see you too." said the voice with a small smirk.
