Chapter 12 Ice Ice Baby

(Ha forgive me for the lame title...)

The lights around the trees were casting wonders of colors all around the ice, making the arena glow.

As they got their ice stakes, they went to sit down on the bench to put then on.

"Hey! Mordecai!" yelled someone, as Mordecai turned to look he saw Margaret waving and coming over,

"Hey, Margaret!" Mordecai said as he stood up to greet her, right next to her was Eileen.

"Hey, Eileen! glad you could come." Mordecai said, feeling better that Rigby wouldn't be alone with Kyle.

"Hey Mordecai, yeah it seemed liked a fun idea," Eileen said. She was glad to be there too, spending some alone time with Rigby was something she always dreamed.

"Um, Mordecai who is that?" Margaret asked, looking behind Mordecai to see Kyle helping Rigby with his skates.

"Dude they're way too tight!" Rigby complied

"-sign- Rig they have to be tight if they aren't you won't have enough balance, you could fall and get hurt."

"oh please, how bad could ice hurt."

Kyle signed deeply he was too busy arguing with Rigby to even noticed that Margaret and Eileen had come over. Till Mordecai had called his name.

"Right that's Kyle, he's Rigby's....friend, he's the one who came up with the idea to go ice staking...." Mordecai said in a plain voice.

Kyle finished with Rigby's stakes and stood up to face Margaret and Eileen.

"Hi I'm Kyle, it's nice to meet you two." He said as he extended his hand for them to shake.

Margaret and Eileen were both in awe, they looked Kyle up and down, with blush faces they shook his hand.

"Hi, I'm Eileen."

"and I'm Margaret" They both managed to choke out.

Kyle smiled at them, as they're heart's melted, both of they're trance was broken by a fit of laughter coming from Rigby.

"What's so funny ?" asked Margaret

"Oh, nothing," Rigby said in between giggles.

They were both confused but before they could ask what was up,

"Have you guys been waiting long?" interrupted Mordecai

"Not really we got about 10 mins ago," Margaret said.

"Well then we shouldn't waste any more time," Mordecai told them

"But what's the rush Mordecai the night is young," Margaret said as she fluttered her eyes at Kyle.

Kyle had been helping Rigby to even pay attention.

"What's the problem Rigby? Have you never been ice staking before?" asked Eileen as she saw how clumsy Rigby was trying to stand up, almost like a child trying to walk for the first time.

"Ummm.......no, I haven't, this is my first time," Rigby said very shyly.

"What? really?!' Both Margaret and Eileen said.

"Well I never got a chance....but I'm sure I'll be fine it's just like roller staking right?"

They all looked at Rigby with wide eyes but didn't say anything.

"Rigby...umm no it's not like roller staking, ice staking is a bit harder," Kyle said, he couldn't believe that after all these years Rigby still hadn't gone ice staking.
