Eyes as red as blood
Teeth as sharp as knives
Only she can see the beauty
That lies on the inside
Thoughts as dark as the night sky
Scars that cover from side to side
Only he can see the beauty
That lies on the outside
The sound of blood rang in his ears
The pounding of his heart against her chest
He drew her hair back to see the bare of her neck
His love for her overcame that test
As they lay her to rest
He stays by her side and sobs
For he was blinded by his love for her
That he didn't notice the scars had spread
