Brightpaw padded out of camp with Sunlily as Sunlily said, "I don't think I showed you the apprentice training grounds. We'll stop by and then go to the grove to hunt."
"Okay" Brightpaw said as they enter the apprentice training grounds.
Suddenly a new dog walked in, a dog she learned earlier to be called Nightflower, Flamepaw's mentor. Flamepaw walked in soon after.
"Hey Brightpaw!" Flamepaw was circling Nightflower in excitement. Brightpaw learned that he was in the same litter as Meadowpaw. Flamepaw had no end to his excitement as he said, "We're going to battle trim! Nightflower said she'll teach me some awesome moves and I can't wait! Will you be training with me?"
Sunlily said, "Sorry Flamepaw. Maybe some other time. Right now, Brightpaw is going on her first hunt!"
"Cool!" Flamepaw exclaimed.
Nightflower broke in and said, "Well, we should be training. Brightpaw, try and catch me a squirrel for when we're done training!"
"I'll try!" Brightpaw said enthusiastically.
"Let's go!" Sunfall ran into the forest.
