Kabeer-Ananya The First Meeting!

Time to relax

All the children settle down there without any argument and why would they argue? They have learnt to live in nearly all kinds of situations - dirty place, hungry, a place which is like a haunted house to them, without parents etc. At least in today's case they know their Kabeer Bhaiya and Ananya Didi will protect them, they won't let anything happen to them. Kabeer settles in front of them resting his back on the bark of a big tree. It's thick bark serving as a great supporter to rest Kabeer's back. Ananya settles down with the children, facing Kabeer.

As they were settling down, Kabeer notices what a mess Ananya is looking. Her hair messed up, her eyes reflecting her tiredness and drowsiness. He realizes, she hasn't complained even for once about the lack of facilities. He keeps staring at her, thinking about the two shades of her - at one place she is so strong and focused, can face any circumstance without complaining; and on the other hand she gets scared of him, only by getting a hint of anger in his eyes. This thought brings a smile on his face. He keeps staring at her.

Unconsciously Ananya notices him looking at her. She stares back while the kids are enjoying chatting among themselves. He moves his eyes to look at his side, indicating her to come and sit beside him. She gives a look to the children who are sitting too close to her, then looks back at him indicating that they won't let her come there. Getting her point, he exhales audibly and diverts his attention to the sound of birds and leaves. Soon the children fall asleep. Ananya without making any noise, taking good care that she doesn't wake them up stands up and walks to Kabeer, who is sitting closed eyes, his left leg popped up and the right one set straight. His left arm resting on his knees. Noticing that he is resting and she doesn't want to disturb him, she turns to return back. "Ab yahan tak aa hi gayi ho to baith bhi jao mere paas"Kabeer's voice makes her heart to skip a beat. She turns around and discovers that his eyes are still closed but he is smiling. She keeps staring at him. Knowing it too well that she is staring, he opens his eyes, they stare at each other. He smiles, making it clear that HE DOES WANT HER TO SIT WITH HIM!

She sits on his left side, resting her back on the bark."Dijiye!", she says. Kabeer looks at her in surprise, unable to understand what is she demanding!"Aapne kaha tha na aap mujhe saza denge!" she explains, knowing his questioning look. He smiles and asks "Jhel paogi jo saza dunga?" His comment succeeds in draining the blood out of her face. Her expression says it all. "Abhi nahi Miss Kashyap. Abhi tum already bohot kuch jhel rhi ho"."Hmm...chalo at least aapko yeh to realize hua ki aapko jhelna itna aasan nahi hai"! She tries to hide her smile and looks elsewhere, but Kabeer keeps staring at her, smile on his lips."Tumhara main kya karun?" he asks her and they both laugh.
