Mimi and Taiyo

Kiri placed the tea on the table. Ame and Ali where running around the cottage. "Can you tell us how you two met?" Yuki asked quietly. As she looked at the cup in front of her. "If you really want i will."

~twenty five years ago~

"Taiyo! You should be careful there is a powerful forest spirit living here!" A old village man yelled as Taiyo walked into the misty forest. He waved as he walked forward. "Its all good I'm stronger then I look." He yelled as he ventured forward. Satikku was running in front of him. She was chasing insects. "Its nice walking through here without a care in the world, but still Suta and Kumo will get mad if i don't look for Hono too." He told himself. Suddenly roots come up from the ground. They held his feet to the ground. "Hey forest spirit can you please let me go I wont do anything bad I'm just looking for someone." He yelled hoping she could hear him. A young woman come out from behind the trees. She had long green hair and emerald eyes. She wore a long green dress. It was Mimi. She felt threatened. "Why would i believe a human like you?! You just destroy forests!" She yelled angrily. Satikku came racing back. She stood between Taiyo and Mimi. Two forest creatures appeared by her side. "So you don't trust humans? They must have done something horrible to this forest. Trust me i wont do anything to destroy the forest!" He protested. She refused to remove the roots. Satikku turned into a staff and appeared in his hand. He used the her to free himself, then she turned back. He walked over to her. "I don't know what they did but I'm sorry fir whatever the humans did." He apologised to her. Satikku brushed up against her legs. The creatures stood waiting for orders. She lead him to her cottage. "You seem different to other humans not just in the way you act but i didn't know humans had tails or ears on the top of their heads?" She asked him. She gave him some berries from her kitchen. She placed a glass of water in front of him. He looked at her. "Well I'm not really a human i am a sky weapon. There're only three in the world they all have animal features and the ability to turn into their respective animals." He explained. She went into another room and pulled out a book. The book was on the sky weapons. "So judging by your cat ears and tail your the sun weapon right?" She asked. He was surprised to see her with that book. "Yeah thats right anyway don't forest spirits only live for three hundred years how old are you?" He asked her in return. Sh looked down at the ground. She took a sip of her water. She placed the glass down. "Im two hundred and seventy five." she replied. He dropped his glass. And looked at her. She began eating the berries. "two hundred and seventy five! That means you only have twenty five years left to live!" He yelled, "Do you have someone to take your place!?" She shock her head. "How about I stay with you and keep you company I can protect the forest when you pass away or until find someone suitable." He asked her. Her face lit up. She was happy to hear him say that.

Mimi and Taiyo lived together happily for about four years. Mimi come to Taiyo one day and asked to be his girlfriend. He was surprised at first but soon agreed to the idea. A year later Kiri was born. Taiyo was always by his cot. He would play and care for him all day. Mimi watched and helped when she needed to. A year after something happened. Mim left the house and Taiyo was outside looking for berries around the house. Taiyo heard screams coming from the forest entrance? He raced over there to see a group of people slaughtered with the two creatures standing over them. Smiling happily. Taiyo called Satikku over. He began firing at them. He followed them back to the house. Mimi had arrived back by then. "Mimi how could you those where innocent people!" He yelled angrily at her. She looked at him. She was confused. "But i didn't i swear Taiyo I would never you changed that about...." She tried to tell him the truth but he just yelled at her with anger. "They cant do anything without you telling them too so how did they kill those people!?" He protested. Tears began to flow down her face. Kiri began crying inside the house. "You just used me to get someone to take your place didn't you!?" He yelled at her and walked away. She cried out to him to try and stop him from leaving but he still continued and left the forest.

~back to the present~

"I reached out to you today because i know I'm going to die soon and i wanted you to be here with me Taiyo." She told him. Kiri hadn't heard that she was going to die. Smash. He dropped the tray of glasses. He raced over to her and jumped onto her. "When mother when will this happen?" He asked her as he was in her arms. She put her arms around him. Taiyo went over to them. He looked at her face. He realised. Her grip began to loosen around Kiri. The light began to disappear from her eyes. Taiyo got closer. Kiri felt her arm fall of him. He got up and saw the light from her eyes had disappeared. Taiyo went over and closed her lifeless emerald eyes. Tears came down both Taiyo and Kiri's faces as they carried her of the seat. "Kiri be strong for her and protect the forest she dearly loved ok." He told him wiping away his tears and giving him a hug. The other watched as Taiyo acted like a father for the first time since he left them alone. "Im sorry i was so selfish and left you both alone here. I wish i could have been with you both more." Taiyo told him. Kiri was still unable to speak. "Guys can i stay here for about a year or two then i will come see you again?" He asked them. Yuki was holding the body of her brother Tyler and Yoso was holding his wife. "Yes sure i think we will spend time training so i think we will stay in the village with these guys for a while we can come get you when we are ready to leave?" Tsuki suggested. They all agreed. They left Taiyo and Kiri in the forest and headed to the village.
