TAYLOR'S POV
After breakfast I went back into my room to study a little and catch up with what work I missed. Before I started, I picked up my phone and scrolled through social media, looking through all the photos from last night and smiling. As I was doing so, I got a text from my cheer coach.

From: Coach Lewypooy🌚
Can't wait to have you back in the gym tonight! ((:

I forgot I was coming back today!😂 I can't wait💕💕

Just as I put my phone on my desk my phone began buzzing. 'Carl❤️ would like to FaceTime' was blinking on my screen. I answered the call and placed my phone in front of me so I could see both my screen and my textbook.

"Hey, babe!" Carl exclaimed, his voice raspy and attractive.

"Hi." I smiled, grabbing my planner and my modern studies notebook.

"Whatcha dooooin?" he sang, clearly bored. I could see he was lying upside down on the couch.

"Studying." I laughed at my idiot of a boyfriend.

"Want me to help you study?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows jokingly. I laughed more, shaking my head.

"I need to study for my test tomorrow and catch up with homework, then I'm having dinner with my family and going to cheer practise." I explained, sighing as I looked at my study notes.

"Awh. You're no fun." Carl huffed. "You free after school tomorrow?"

"I should be; what're you suggesting, Gallagher?" I grinned, quickly looking at my planner to make sure I was free.

"I just wanna go smoke somewhere pretty, ya know? But I'd only go with you. So I'll wait until Monday." Carl said, satisfied. I smiled at him through my phone, then picked it up off my desk.

"I need to get to work. See you tomorrow." I concluded.

"Bye baby." he said softly before ending the call.

CARL'S POV
"Bye baby." I hummed before ending my FaceTime call with Taylor. I twisted and sat upright on the couch, Debbie walked downstairs just as I did so.

"Was that Taylor?" she asked, flopping down next to me and turning the TV on.

"Yup." I chirped, popping the 'p' and watching her flick through the channels.

"She's able to go back to cheer today." Debbie told me, making conversation. They must've been texting each other earlier.

"Yeah, she told me." I mumbled, beginning to feel awkward. Debbie decided to watch Modern Family, and we sat in an awkward silence watching it together. Fiona then walked though, a pile of mail in her pale hands.

"Bills?" Debbie enquired about the mail. Fiona simply shook her head.

"It's a card from Monica." she told us eventually. Debbie stood up and read it with Fiona while I rolled my eyes, wanting nothing to do with that woman. We gave her a chance and she destroyed us all over again.

"It just says 'hope you're all well!' and it's signed by her and someone else, I can't read the name.." Debbie trailed off, glancing at me. I nodded, trying not to care and just focus on the TV to distract myself.

"Whatever." Fiona muttered as she walked into the kitchen, ripping the card in half and dropping it in the trash can.
