I stepped out of my car, the morning started out pathetic, everything went wrong time after time. First of all, my brother was hogging the shower and constantly refused to leave, I got to go in when he left for work, then my hairdryer stopped working. I mean sure, I could use my mom's, but her's wasn't bedazzled like mine. I especially wasn't in the mood for any of that especially after yesterday. What happened? Well, if you insist on knowing, some ugly ass boy and his dumb ass friends have been rude to me again, they called my 'girls' unbelievable things ever since 7th grade, like what the fuck, give it a rest. I swear, they have to be gay, they play footsie under their desks and tables and hold each other's hands and call Pikachu sexy, like, get a fucking life. Not to mention, just as I stepped out of my car, I saw that a bird took a shit on the hood of my cherry red Ferrari. This is by far the worst day of my life!
I decided to try to let go of the bad things, stress makes me get blemishes, er, I mean, pimples. I was walking into the main doors when my group came up to me fangirling about some new gossip on Jessica's boyfriend, Chad. Not to be rude or anything, cause that's lame, but I really don't give a crap about Chad holding a sequin dress, and how some girl wore that dress, like girls, catch up, Chad is in the sewing club, he was just putting on a fashion show, chill. They continued circling around me until we got to our homeroom for morning handouts. The teacher's voice is super annoying, it sounds like she needs to cough all the time, and she whistles when she breaths, it is the most distracting thing ever in the history of forever. "Okay class, this was the hardest test so far, only one person got an A everyone else was, at the most, a B." I covered my face, there's something that, none of my friends know, and I continue to refuse to let them. She went around the room passing back the tests, I got mine and I broke a sweat, quickly tucking it into my jacket, I peered into my jacket to look at it. A faint smile grew onto my face. An A+, huh, I never get tired of seeing that, especially with the happy face. I guess I was holding it out too much because the new guy (he's been there for 1 week) who lives next to me tapped from behind me. I quickly turned around and almost snapped at him, but, I couldn't do that, he's a geeky, nerdy type, if I was rude to him, my popularity would decrease by at least 15% I can not take that risk. And, honestly, he gives off an aura that is kind of soothing, and his face is too innocent to purposely want to hurt. His distinct and unique turquoise type eye color was accompanied by a glare of light. His brown hair swooped across his forehead, and his teeth were perfectly white, it seemed legit unreal. And his lips are just so naturally pink, he, doesn't really look like your stereotypical nerd or geek, he just hangs out with them. "Sorry, but I just wanted to say congratulations, honestly didn't think you had it in you." He whispered very quietly and smiled at me. Goosebumps.
"Um, thanks I guess." He shrugged and gave me a tilted head look. "You live next door to me, right?" I nodded simply. All that was going through my mind was how I could convince him to be more of a jock. I know, the number one thing he needs is self confidence. "Hey, what's your name? Mine is Scarlett, but, don't tell anyone I know you. Or that you know me." "It's Mason, and, why not, we're all people?" I looked around before turning to face him. "You and I don't fall into the same category," I bit my lip and squinted at him, " You know what, meet me at my house tomorrow morning, not too early, I like to sleep in on Saturdays, so, how about 10:30 am?" He sighed, I watched as his chest raised up and fell back down. "Sure, why not?" He faced back down to his paper. I saw my friend Julie about to turn back at me, she sits in front of me, so I jolted back and attempted acting casually, even though she would ignore it if I didn't look casual. "Hey Hun, ugh, my parents are gonna totally kill me, or worse, take my phone away!!" I subtly rolled my eyes. "Oh my gosh they cannot do that, that's like, ruining your entire social basis." Her eyes widened, she looked, kind of inspired for once. "Omfg, you are totally right, I think I want to tell them that." I hesitated, "You are gonna confront your own parents, the ones that threatened to take your phone away in the first place?!" She tried to hard to make it obvious she was trying to roll her eyes at me, "No, I said I was going to tell them that I don't like their being mean...ness" I slapped my forehead dead center. "Omg, you're totally right Jules, oopsies, I'm so stupid haha!" I hate how stupid she is.
"Ok, so scar, wanna hang tomorrow, I know this hot spot where these hott AF guys'll be." "Aww girl, as much as I would love to go, I already made some plans, totes sorry!" Just then the bell rang, I noticed Mason waited at the door for me, so I took extra long so my friends wouldn't see. Saved by the bell. I was the last one, other than Mason, out of the classroom. We had every class together, how have I not noticed him before? At lunch I walked into the lunch room and rushed to get to our table, I sat down and began eating my salad. Mason came from behind me, "Ooo, and who are you, and why aren't we already together?" I snapped, "Lorie!" I turned back to Mason awkwardly, he had his head turned to his left trying to hide his laughing from Lorie. "Oh, wait, Scar, is that cutie yours?" I regurgitated my food, but quickly swallowed to cover it up. Mason blushed and began to brush his hair awkwardly, I freaked out, for some reason, "Lorie, no way, shut the fuck up!" He turned back at me, "Hey, calm down, it happens to me at every school I go to" he turned to Lorie, "No, we aren't together, but neither are we, no offense, you aren't really my type." She dropped her hands from under her chin, "Whatever, I don't think you're all that cute, jeez, one day here, and you think every girl wants you!" He put his index finger against his forehead, "Yes, that's exactly what I think."
Then Mason said he had to leave anyways, I pushed him off. Just then, the two Pika-bangers came up to us. "Listen, Scar, sorry for what I did," the blonde douchebag said, "it took me for you to avoid us to realize, I annoyed you because, I like you." I was in shock, like, there is no way in hell that just happened. I turned my eyes to the right slightly, I saw something, I saw Mason looking at me talking to the blonde guy, he saw the whole thing. He seemed, either disappointed, upset, or both. He turned back to his other friends. I saw them all scold him for something. I didn't know what. "You know what? Go, " the look from Mason remained in my head as I talked to the blonde guy, "just, go fuck yourself, you hurt not only me but my friends, now you think you can say sorry and it'll be ok, you're as stupid as shit, even Lorie knows not to do that to someone, you are fucked up in the brain, go back to your anime you dirty whore." The girls at my table were smiling and giggled as I flipped my hair in his face, and turned my back to him. I looked back at Mason subtly, he was simply smirking and looked more hopeful. Seeing him look at me like he knew I had the potential to do the right things, made me smirk and drift off into my thoughts.
