I heard a slight gasp, next thing I know Mason is getting shoved over at my release, my heart is pounding and I can't breathe right. I look to see who knocked Mason over, and of course, it was Julie. She's panting and she reaches for my hand, she props my backpack onto her one shoulder as she yanks me out to my car. "Julie! Why would you do that?!"

"I uh, I need a ride."

"First you tell me why you did that, then, I'll give you a ride."

"Let's just say I was saving you."

"Saving me from what?"

"Just, please, just drive." She turned away from me in the passenger seat. I remained staring at her whole I put the car into gear. What is up with her? She's never like this, even if she did see it, she would've usually just started giggling, then would probably scream out, "Just Kiss Already!!!" But today, no sign of that happening.

Sometimes I just wish I could read her mind and be able to sense her feelings and just know what caused them. It can't be because if a boy, she doesn't like anyone. It can't be because of a friend, unless I did something. I just need to stop worrying, she probably had a solid reason for doing what she did, I just hope that Mason's okay.

I continued driving Julie home, she lives in a pretty different direction from me so, it would take me longer than usual to get home. Once I dropped Julie off, all she said was thanks and that was it, she gave me a depressed look and unlocked her door to go in, I took a moment to think, then I drove off to go to my house. My brother welcomed me when I drove passed the park, he was wearing the dog-tag I got him and his blue shirt his girlfriend got him. He waved me over so I pulled into the small parking lot the lead into the park.

"Hey Scar." He lightly rubbed my head, "what's up with you?"

"What do you mean?"

"C'mon Scar, you aren't smiling, what happened?"

"Just, um, a lot of stuff, I don't even know how I feel, or how I'm supposed to feel."

"Tell me what happened when it started happening."

"I don't think you'll like it though."

"Boy troubles?"

"Well, that's part of it."

"Oh..." He gave off a grudgingly sigh.

"Oh my gosh, get used to it." I pushed him lightly and he acted to fall over then he wobbled back up next to me.

"Alright, it's fine, what happened with this guy?"

"Ok, so here's the story: I've kinda liked him for a while and, today, while I was at my locker he told me that he likes me."

"And that's a bad thing because?"

"I don't know how I'm supposed to react, I wish happy but then, something else happened."

"Oh? Then go ahead, finish the story."

"Ok, so, right after he told me, Julie saw and she literally knocked him down."

"Thank you." My brother whispered.

"Shut up!" He and I started laughing.

"Ok, Scar, back to the story."

"Ok, then Julie rushed me to my car and wouldn't tell me why she did that, then she started acting all distant and I don't know how I'm supposed to react, I couldn't get her to open up no matter how hard I tried." I began tearing up, sure I have other friends, but Julie was friends with me before I was popular, before I was pretty. I used to be a stereotypical looking nerd, yet she stayed by me.

"Oh, hey Scar," he wiped the tear that fell down my cheek, "I don't know how to help, but, remember, I'm always just a call away."

"Thanks Shawn."

"And remember; I've never broken a promise, especially a promise I've made to you."

"Yea, you're right."

"Why do you look so into thought, I'm always right!"

He flashed me his full-of-himself-smirk at me then shoved me towards the car, "How about we make a deal?"

"Depends."

"You drive the guys and me for fro-yo, and I do all of your homework for, a week."

"Well, considering you graduated as an honors student, deal!"

"HEY, GUYS, SCAR'S TAKIN US FOR FRO-YO!!"

I mean, what was I suffering from, me driving a car full of cute guys and all of the bitchy girls at school seeing them with me and not them? Oh no, what have I done? JUST SAYING THAT WAS SARCASM!

"Yea, c'mon!"

They piled into the car, but only after scraping the mud off of their cleats. During payments for the fro-yo, a few of the guys pitched in and together, I only had to pay about 24% of the total, so, it was a total win. My brother was 'upset' with how unfair the deal was and 'threatened' to not do homework. We got into a playful fight into the parking lot. I drove everyone back home and gave my brother my homework to do.

Mason stopped me when I was following after the guys, they just told me to catch up when I was done.
