So this idea was inspired by this song.
This is also kinda a Sketchy!Percy AU (Sketchy as in "shady"; Not good.)
Sam gets sick, so Percy decided to film and audio record (two separate platforms at the same time) her story: Her friends. Family. Life. Loves. Interests. Everything.
And so the story is the progression of 5 years documenting Sam's life story, her time with friends and family, their concerts, her overseeing their book writing progress, her stand-up comedy shows, and over this passage of time, we witness, of course, her health depletion.
And when Sam dies, Percy finds that Sam had been writing down her every moment with Percy. His interviews. Their concerts. Her overseeing the book writing progress. Her stand-up shows. And her time with friends and family.
And so Percy decides to publish her writings. And make a film out of all his videos and recordings.
But the studio that is supporting him wants to change and take out some parts. Since they feel that some of the story is a bot too depressing and heavy for audiences. To which Percy protests: "This isn't just some stupid teen novel! These are real accounts of a girl who was making the most of whatever time she had left!"
But the studio still refuses to do the whole complete story. And so his friends agree to help him make the film himself.
So the main part of the story is Percy dealing with trying to make the film as close to reality without blowing the secret, as well as him trying to change all of the changeable things about himself that Sam hated. And he almost goes crazy under all of the pressure.
And the story ends with Percy sitting down with someone from a morning news show interviewing him on his success.
They ask him, "So where did you get the idea for this film?"
To which Percy responds, "This is not a film. It is not a story. These are real accounts of a real girl who was just making the most of whatever time she had left."
