"Dad, be for real. An ever loving and beautiful daughter, deserves to be with her brilliant father. I am not moving to some bumpkin town in the backwoods of Oklahoma with your dumb brother because of a disagreement at school!" Lydia Grey whined to her father, as they walked towards Gate 36 at the LAX Airport.
"Lydia, it was not just a disagreement, and you know that! Just like you know why you can't stay here!" Her father, a normally soft spoken man snapped at the girl.
"Then why does that stupid fucking abortion, Landon get to stay here?!" She retorted.
"He probably won't get death threats, unlike you, who has many angry as hell because you went and did something so cruel and she-"
"Don't even say it! Dad, I don't want to go with your brother! He sucks and you've even said it yourself!"
"He's the only one in the family that will take you. Be lucky I'm not sending you to fucking Military School!"
That made the girl stop in her tracks. It wasn't often that her father made a threat that big, or even said a curse word worse than "damn." She knew she could not argue or even cry her way into getting what she wants as she usually did. Which bothered her to the bone.
With a loss for words, which was quite the oddity, she silently kept walking. She knew her fate was sealed, and she'd have to move to the backwoods of Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
She could practically hear the banjos already.
Well I think that was a pretty good introduction to the strange protagonist that is Lydia Grey.
Now I know what you're thinking, "What the hell is this girl?" Well she's the girl everyone should hate, that's what I made her for. And this story will not only be about her, but the people around her and it won't be just completely her bawwing about banjos and whatnot. It progresses, plus it's just the first chapter. And it could be worse.
And if anything, maybe just read it for the dialogue because Lydia, while a bitch, is great at snarky comebacks.
So yeah, thanks for reading and hopefully you can stay for the next chapter!!
