I walked into the bathroom and closed the door and put my iPod on loud, I picked up the hair brush and brushed my long thick brown curly hair when I was done I walked over to the radiator and felt if my underwear was dry, it was thank goodness I pulled on a pair of pants put on my bra, I sprayed on some deodorant and walked back to the mirror humming along to the song, there was a knock on the bathroom door which made me stop instantly.
"ah Babe here is some clothes Jared’s letting you borrow although he could not find any trousers or shorts and my stuff would be to big" Shannon said I could hear the worry on his voice
"Hmm well that’s a problem Hmm its OK babe I’ll think I have shorts someplace" I said once I opened the door, Shannon was standing with a pile of clothes with a smile on his face.
"Hi Beautiful!!" Shannon said
"Hi where’s Jared?" I said out of curiosity
"He didn’t want to be alone with you so he sent me" Shannon said licking his lips
He handed over the pile of clothes as he was about to walk away, I heard whistling I looked over to the door and Jared was standing arms folded and a smug smile on his face.
"Alright Beautiful" Jared said
It wasn’t until Shannon looked up and down at me I didn’t notice I was standing in only in my underwear. Trying to hide myself from behind the door to maintain what I had left of my decently I blushed.
"Oh Jared please why do you have to be so annoying do me and your brother a favor and get a girlfriend and stop flirting with me"
"Yeah Dude back off" Shannon said. As I kissed Shannon on the cheek and looked at Jared I turned round and walked back into the bathroom. When I heard the door close I heard Shannon sigh
"Well you done good brother" Jared said
"SHUT UP J" I heard Shannon yelling. I started laughing and turned the music up as I started dancing about the room. I put on a top from the drying screen. It was Shannon’s I had no intention of wearing Jared’s it wouldn’t be right. I loved to wear Shannon’s clothing I liked how the material hung loose on my body and his smell mixed with washing powder had my senses going into overdrive. The top I threw on was one of his black muscle tanks with the huge holes at the side; I quite like it, I wondered what Shannon would say. I was singing along to the boys new album Jared gave me it for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and its pretty good. I walked over the hamper and put my wet towels in I pulled on a pair of my short denim shorts, they were hidden under the top tucking it in slightly at the front I looked at my appearance in the mirror, I tied my hair up into a lose bun I put on my perfume and grabbed a pair of bed socks, putting them on my toes instantly warmed up. I unlocked the bathroom door expecting Shannon to be just outside; to my disappointment he was nowhere to be seen. Climbing down the cold wooden stairs my legs broke out into Goosebumps and the cold weather. Sighing to myself I should have dressed more for the weather, walking down the stairs with my hand on the banister I noticed Shannon and Jared where laying out of the couch watching TV. I leaned into the cupboard and grabbed a large jumper, pulling it over my head I smiled to myself. Walking into the kitchen I got myself a drink out of the fridge, I closed the fridge door with a mouth full of chocolate cake Shannon was standing behind it I almost choked as I wasn’t expecting him to be there
"Hi" Shannon said
"Hi" I mumbled with a mouth full of food.
‘What happened to the clothes Jared gave you?’
‘I thought these were better’ I explained as I finished the piece of cake in my mouth.
It was one of those moments that was just perfect and nothing could ruin it…. well I thought wrong Jared burst into the room.
"Right who wanted to go into town cause I’m bored" Jared said jumping up and down
"Me, yes! Let’s go" I replied as I washed my hands
"Cute top Kay I might borrow that some time, Bro?!?" Jared said licking his lips
‘This is Shannon’s’ I replied with a smile
‘I thought it looked really big, what are mine not good enough’ Jared explained with a shocked expression
‘No they are fine, it’s just Shannon’s are better. Now move your butt!’ I said as I reached the cupboard and pulled on my black and white converse.
‘Shan are you coming?’ Jared asked as he walked towards me
‘Sure let me grab my shoes’ Shannon replied while he dived into the cupboard.
The next thing I know Jared bent down and kissed be on the cheek. Shannon’s face shot up with a puzzled expression.
‘What was that for’ I said puzzled
‘A side from all the teasing, you are a great girl Kayla, and I know you and Shannon are great together’ He replied as he pulled his coat on. Feeling my cheeks flush I turned my head away embarrassed. A small thank you escaped my lips as I stood in front of Jared. He could be nice when he wanted to. Leaning up to Shannon I molded against his chest as he kissed me on the forehead. Smiling under him I grabbed his hand and made my way to the front door.
‘I Love you” Shannon said as he turned around and put his coat on
" I love you to Shan"
"We better go before Jared starts shouting again" Shannon said. Shannon smiled before interlacing our hands together and walking through the front door locking it behind us. In that moment I knew I had met the man of my dreams. I got on great with his family and I knew right there and then that Jared’s little comment was his way of accepting me into the family. The thought brought a smile to my face.
