part 14-things getting better...well almost

*3 Days later*

Shannon was finally  out of the coma and he seemed to be handling every thing OK well when I say OK I mean he could walk and talk and remember everything. The Dr. says he was really lucky with this outcome as it could have ended worse although I thought differently. As Jared and I  walked back from the cafeteria with coffee in hand for everyone Jared tried to lighten the mood.

“I bet he’s going to kill us when we get back from not bringing him coffee” Jared said as he forced a smile.

“Hmm” I said as I marched back to his room. When we got there Constance and Tomo were sound asleep.

“Mum, Tomo why don’t you go home and rest Shannon’s asleep anyway” Jared said as he tried to wake His mum and Tomo up.

“Ok we will be back in a couple of hours” Constance said as she kissed both Shannon and Jared on the head before she walked out soon followed by Tomo. As Jared took the window seat I was left with the chair beside Shannon’s bed. As I slowly sipped my coffee I placed my other hand on Shannon’s.

“Is that Coffee I smell” Shannon said as he was waking up

“Yes it is but you can’t have any” I said as I stuck my tongue out playfully.

“K I’m really sorry for blaming you I really am” Shannon said

“It’s ok but don’t you ever run off like that again I was worried sick” I said as I stood up and kissed Shannon on his dry lips.

“I can’t wait to get out of here so we could take it further….” Shannon said as he winked.

“Ahemm little bro in the corner here” Jared said as he put up his hand like a school boy.

“Sorry J I didn’t see you there” Shannon said slightly embarrassed. As we were talking two police officers arrived and wanted to talk to Shannon alone. Jared and I stepped outside another police officer came over and started talking.

“Are you Shannon Leto’s Family” The tall officer said

“I’m his little brother, this is Shannon’s girlfriend” Jared said.

“I see pleasure to meet you… It shouldn’t take that long were just trying to see who did this to him…. And you guys were out of town when this happened” The officer said as he pulled out a small black notebook.

“ Yes we were actually on tour and Shannon got upset and left obviously coming back here but we never heard from him we tried calling and texting him non stop but he wouldn’t answer” Jared explained. A few minutes later the other police officer came out of Shannon’s room.

“OK we have everything we need we will be in contact… I hope Shannon makes a full recovery” The police officer said before both of them shook our hands before they left. As we walked back into the room Shannon was sitting up looking more cheerful.

“Hi guys sorry about that” He said as a nurse came into the room.

“Hello Mr. Leto how are you feeling”

“Fine I think I should be able to go home soon” Shannon said cheerfully.

“Yes I would think so in a few days we still have to run some test that we talked about earlier then you should be fine to go” The nurse said as she saw the expression on Shannon’s face change.

“Ohhh yeah I forgot about that” Shannon said as his smile dropped. As the nurse left I walked over to Shannon. I knew exactly what was said as it never left my mind.

“It doesn’t matter I don’t care we will get through this and I will still Love you no matter what” I said as I took Shannon’s hand.  As I placed a kiss on Shannon’s forehead Tomo and his Constance appeared looking refreshed.

"Hey Son.. how are you feeling?" Constance said as she took of her coat and placed it on the back of the chair Jared was sitting in.

"Alright.. The Dr's say I can come home in a few days they just have some more tests then i can go" Shannon explained.

As we all sat there in silence for a few moments no one knew what to say.

"Well that's good you'll be missing your own bed and good food" Jared said breaking the silence.

" I know I just cant wait to go home" Shannon said as he turned around and looked at me.

"K will you still be staying at our house or.." Shannon said as I interrupted him.

"Of course you don't think your getting rid of me that easily" I said as i playfully smacked Shannon's arms.

Everyone laughed everything seemed to be back to normal until the Dr came into the room.

"Ohh sorry Mr. Leto I never knew you had visitors but we are away to start talking more tests" The Dr explained.

"Ohh Ok" I said standing up and collecting my coat.

"Hmm how long will it take" Shannon asked

"A few hours so may be your family would like to go home and get some rest and bring you some fresh clothes and what not" The Dr. explained looking between the five of us.

"OK...I will see you in a few moments to let you say goodbye to your family." The Dr. said as he left the room.

" OK bro well ill see you in a couple of hours dont do anything stupid while im gone." Jared said as he hugged Shannon.

"Ohh mann and we just came back... ohh well see you in a few" Tomo said also hugging Shannon.

"Ok son well i guess we better go do you want me to bring you anything else" Constance said kissing Shannon on the cheek.

"Not really just some comfortable clothes"

"OK then"

"Awww dont leave me K all alone" Shannon said between kisses.

"Im sorry i have to ill be right back though just call me if you need anything" I said before i kissed his soft lips.

As I turned to pick up my bad Shannon slapped my bum in front of his family and Tomo.

 “  Ohh Shannon you can’t do that in front of everyone” I said embarrassed.

“Its OK Kayla young love… I would rather he done that and be happy than be frustrated he couldn’t just cause I was here” Shannon's mum said she left the room with Tomo and Jared

“Bye” Shannon yelled to his family who were already out the door.

“Bye K what about one for the road” Shannon said as he pulled me in for a kiss.

“Behave” I said as I pulled away and headed for the door. Just as I got to the door I wiggled by bum for Shannon to keep him happy.

“That’s Better” He yelled before I walked down the white corridor were Jared was waiting.
