Star Wars - Black Bounty

Chapter 7

                 

The ship warped and there was a sudden jolt. Vulross had a sigh of relief, because he had felt as if he was a prisoner to Kodon VI, ships barley landed there, and it was even rarer for them to leave, the life of an inhabitant there was a dull life. The days went in slow hypnotic way, as if the mind was not connected to the body, the days were so alike they were controlled by muscle memory rather than conscious thought. In fact his life there was so dull Vulross barley even called it a life. Even the memory of the dull routine made him shudder. But when they made the jump to light speed, it felt as if the shackle of his old life had been broken by his new friend, Reylan. It felt as if a heavy burden had been lifted off his shoulders. Vulross felt great excitement, as his new life was to begin with the hunt of a Mandalorian leader! And to him they were only mythical warriors, with stories of their power and skill told to keep children entertained, but he was now going to their home planet.

Reylan on the other hand could not contain his anxiety. He could not handle a red bounty, let alone a white one but his lust for fame out weighed his fear. He had to do this, it was his path to fame, mandalorians were some of the most powerful warriors and killing a clan leader would not only make him rich but a legend. He did not know what lay ahead, but he could only see his fame. Reylan's seething want for this pushed him to extreme and dangerous lengths, some called him arrogant, which wasn't far from the truth because he overestimated himself and his over confidence was often his downfall and led him to bounties far beyond his skill, but if you do not go for things beyond what you have mastered you can never grow (at least that was his way of looking at it.)

"R0 if we sold this ship how much would we get for it?" Reylan queried,

"Not a lot, maybe enough to get us a second hand ship more suited to our line of work." R0 answered.

"Sorry to but in but I just want to say how grateful I am to be with you guys and off that horrible planet" Vulross said.

"Its nothing, payback for saving my life back there!" Reylan exclaimed while pressing a few buttons.

"If you lover boys have finished with your poems we shall be arriving soon." R0 said in sarcastic tone.

"Shut up you over opinionated bucket of bolts" Reylan shouted.

Vulross left the flying of the ship to the expert and he went to explore the ship. He left the cockpit and open on of the doors closest to the cockpit; it just had a few seats in it and a Dejarik board in the centre, probably uses to entertain the troops on long journeys. It was another dull room that matched the colour scheme of the ship, grey. He left the room dissatisfied by his findings and went to another door and opened it. His jaw dropped as he shouted with excitement "Reylan you might want to take a look at this!" suddenly Reylan sprinted in.

"What?" He said, out of breath

"Look." Vulross said pointing his finger with delight. Reylan turned his head and raised his eyebrows. He was looking at the armoury of the order soldiers with at least fifty heavy blasters packed in tidy rows, around the exterior of the room. And on mounts on each of the four walls a long sleek sniper rifle, and in the centre of the room on a stands there were two rocket launchers, and finally a bag full of Reylan's favourite things, shiny thermal detonators, or as he called them 'balls of fun'. Reylan ran into a room as if he was a youngling wookie on life day morning, screaming with excitement, he hugged the bag of thermal detonators and kissed them.

"What a find!" Reylan shrieked while cradling one of the rocket launchers in his arms. "R0 get in here!" Reylan shouted this time while inspecting one of the snipers with a large grin on his face. Vulross just stood there admiring Reylan's reaction. Vulross also went into the room and inspected one of the heavy blasters. The sound of R0 driving in made Reylan stop and turn around.
