Chapter Ten: A death

POV: The one who had it coming...

These past few weeks haven't been the best. Kori's been acting weird and wanting to take things to the next level. Jace isn't his old self. Allison is no one to me. Jade has been M.I.A. and Brittany...well she's dead. Haha.

Now I have to watch my back and keep these people's mouths shut!

I sat on my bed and waited for Kori and Jace. I was extremely bored at home. I needed to do something...irresponsible.

I walked down the stairs to see my sister jumping up and down like a crazy person. I knew I shouldn't have given her all of that candy earlier.

"Ruby. Please sit down." I grabbed her arm and sat her on the couch.

"No! I have to much energy! I want to go crazy." she started jumping on the couch. I'm not getting paid enough to do this.

"RUBY!" I lifted her over my shoulder. "You need a nap." I wonder if I was this hyper when I was seven.

I opened her room door and locked her inside. "GO TO BED!" I yelled from the other side.

"OPEN THE DOOR! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Ruby started to pound on the wood.

I chuckled and went to open the front door. "Hey, babe." I leaned in to kiss her.

She held her hand out to block the kiss. "Don't do that." Kori walked in and sat on the kitchen table. "Have you heard about what happened to Allison?" she asked.

"No...what?" I say next to her.

"She's missing. This is really scaring me, Lou. Why is all of these strange things keep happening. You don't think that-"

"Don't go there, Kori. That could never happen, I don't think."

"What if something happens to me though. What if whoever is doing this is trying to kill me to?"

"They probably are." I admitted. Her eyes became wide and her face turned red in horror. "But I won't let anyone hurt you."

"Really?" she smiled.

"Yeah....unless they try to kill me too. Then you're on your own." I smirked.

"Oh how romantic." she started at me emotionlessly.

I just laughed. Then, I walked up to her and kissed her neck. She pushed me away. Kori never does that.

"What's wrong?" I looked into her eyes.

"Well, I saw the guy..."

"When?!"

"Well not technically, but... I have a feeling I was around him." She started to tear up.

"What happened?! What the fuck happened?!" I yelled. She just started crying and handed me a tape. What was it about?!

I walked into the living room and put the tape in. From there on I was shocked and filled with anger. This guy raped her! What kind of guy would do this?!

"Come on." I was ready to go find him.

"W-where are we going?" She stuttered.

"Just go to the fucking car!"

"What about Ruby?"

I walked up the stairs to Ruby's room and she wasn't there. I looked behind the door and in her closet. I finally leaned down, and looked under her bed.

"Ruby? Where the hell are yo-" I felt a sharp object go inside me.

"F-FUCK" It was a knife. I heard someone run up the stairs.

"LOUIS...LOUIS!!!"

"You better run." I heard an unfamiliar voice as I was stabbed again. I heard Kori scream as she tried to stop him.

"J-just go!"

"I'm NOT LEAVING YOU!"

"GO!" I was stabbed again as I heard her run away. The last thing I saw was Ruby frozen under the bed. With terror in her eyes. She didn't need to see this. She wasn't suppose to witness the death of her brother.

"Run." I whispered quietly before coughing up blood, and drifting off slowly and painfully.
