Chapter 5: Telling the Team

Tuesday Morning
Addy's pov:
I woke up the next morning with a text from Jaden.
Henline😏: I had a lot of fun last night. I was wondering if you and Kate wanted to sit with us at breakfast?
Me: I did too😊 and yeah that sounds great what table?
Henline😏: Sweet and table 10 in the far right corner from the door.
Me: Got it I'll see ya there!
I woke up Kate and told her to get ready to go to breakfast while I did the same.

I walked toward the table the boys were sitting at with Kate close behind me.
"Damn Henny your right she is hot." Zack said. I don't think that he knew I could hear him.
"Ya think I don't know that? But back off anyways she's mine." Jaden said. Then turned to me. "Good Morning Sunshine." He said smiling.
"Good Morning Henline." I said smiling back at him.
"Cute." Jake said sarcastically. I sat down my plate of pancakes and Kate sat down beside me.
"Hi, I'm Addy and this is Kate." I said pointing at Kate who was already stuffing her face with pancakes.
"Oh we know." Zack said laughing.
"What?"
"Jaden talks about you all the time." Jake said chiming in. Jaden started blushing. I thought it was cute that he talked about me.
"Awe Jaden."
"Hi Cole" Kate said between eating her pancakes.
Cole got excited. "Hey Kate!" They started talking about who knows what again. Jaden and I talked about what teams we wanted to scrimmage because they start tonight.
And Zack and Jake sat to our left talking about some girl they saw last night.

We went to breakfast early so we had like 2 hours until we all had to go down to the fields.
"Do you guys wanna come hang in our room?"
Cole asked.
"Yeah sure!" Kate said.
"How bout you two?" Me and Jaden nodded our heads and kept talking.
When we got to Jaden and Cole's room, Cole and Kate sat down on Cole's bed and Jaden and I on his bed.
"When's your guys' first scrimmage?" Jaden asked us.
"Tomorrow." I answered.
"We'll be there." Cole said.
"Yay!" Kate said. "Our favorite cheerleaders!"
We all laughed. There were no tv's in the dorms so Cole put Netflix on his laptop. He put on The Walking Dead. Me and Jaden leaned against the wall and he put his arm around my waist. I laid my head on his chest. I wished I could stay like this forever.

Tuesday late morning/early afternoon
Jaden's pov:
Addy fell asleep with her head on my chest while we were watching The Walking Dead. She was so cute. Her blonde hair all messy and her long dark eyelashes resting on her cheeks. I wanted to stay like this forever but as much as I hated it, I had to wake her up because we all had training in 20 minutes.
"Addy." I said in almost a whisper. "You gotta get up Addy.."
Kate sat up and walked over to my bed, picked up a pillow and smacked Addy in the face.
"I hate you Katelynn Elizabeth." She mumbled.
"I know just get up." Kate said.
Addy sat up and kissed me on the cheek. I blushed. I've never felt this happy before. I thought. "See ya later." I said standing up next to her. I kissed her forehead.
"Bye Cole." Kate said waving as she opened the door.
"Bye Kate." Cole said waving back to her and smiling. Me and Cole got ready and headed down to the fields.

Coach told us what to do and where he wanted us to go. He put me on short and Bailey hit me a grounder. I scooped it up along with some dirt. I couldn't see Addy and her team today, but I sure was thinking about her. I'd never felt this way about anyone before.

"I love her." I said to Cole walking out of the dugout. We were on our way to the cafeteria for lunch. I pulled my phone out of my bag. My screen said:
Text Message from Addy😍.
I texted her back.
Addy😍: Hey Jay! How was practice?
Me: Good but it would've been better if you were with me😊
Addy😍: Awe your so sweet❤️
Addy😍: the team asked us if we could sit with them at lunch today but do you want to go the scrimmages tonight with me?
Me: okay and yeah that sounds great.
After lunch Cole and I hung out in our room with Braden and Adam.
"You really like that Addy girl don't you?" Braden asked.
"Yeah..everything about her. She's perfect." I said smiling at the thought of her.
"What about Cole?" Adam added. "He seems to have his eyes on her friend."
"You mean Kate?" Cole asked smiling. "Yeah, she's something else."

Tuesday Evening
Addy's pov:
None of us had scrimmages so after dinner we all went down to the fields to watch. I wore cropped leggings and blue spirit shirt from school with my free runs. Kate wore Adidas shorts and a softball hoodie with black and white nike elites with slides.
We walked out the doors to the girls dorm building where Jaden and Cole were waiting for us.
"Ready ladies?" Cole asked.
"Yup." Kate said as she hugged him. Cole's face lit up like a light bulb and he hugged her back.
Jaden and I both laughed at Cole's face when Kate hugged him. We were walking down the path to the fields and talking. Jaden's hand kept brushing against mine as we walked. It was driving me insane. Just then he grabbed my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine. I blushed and looked up at him, he was smiling. I loved that he was taller then me. A few minutes later a boy with blonde hair walked past us and then turned to me.
"Heyy hot stuff can I get them digits?"
Jaden pulled me closer. "No." I said.
"What do you mean no." He said seeming frustrated.
"By no she means no." Jaden said. He was mad. "Don't you speak English?" Jaden held up his hand that was holding mine. "Bye." Jaden finished as the other kid walked away.
"Damn." Cole said.
We just kept walking.

(Some teams registered as a team so they're teamed stayed together for training and for scrimmages, but people who didn't register as a team got split up into teams and given team names. Just a fact for the future)
When we got to the fields we climbed up to the top of the stands. We sat down near the top left corner close to some of the other boys. I leaned into Jaden and he put his arm around me.
"Cole, what the hell are you doing? Put your arm around her!" Jaden whispered.
Cole hesitated and Kate could tell so she took his hand and draped his arm over her shoulder. They looked at each other and smiled.
A little while later Kate leans over Cole to show me a text message from Brianna.
Bri💗: ARE YOU AND ADDY SITTING WITH THE REDLAND TEAM?! I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE HERE! WHAT THEY HELL KATE?

"Shit." I mumbled.
"What's wrong babe." Jaden asked me.
Babe. I liked that.
He read the text message from Kate's phone.
"What's wrong with that?" He asked.
"Kate and I didn't tell the rest of our team that we were hanging out with you guys or even that you were here because that's all they would do and they would never leave us alone." I explained.
"But it looks like now we're gonna have to tell them." Kate said.
"We can go tell them now if you'd like? Or later it doesn't matter." Cole said.
Kate's phone went off again, it was Bri.
Bri💗: KATE! HELLO?!"
"We might as well go tell them now, so they leave you two alone." Jaden said.
We walked over to the rest of our team and they totally started fangiriling. "Great." Kate said rolling her eyes.
"Jaden, Cole, this is Grace, Alyvia, Lynn, Kimmy, Brooke, Alyssa, Maria, Brianna, Liz, Madie, and Lyndsey." I said pointing to each of them.
"Hey, I'm Jaden."
"I'm Cole."
They all just smiled and stared.
"Guys..chill." Kate said.
"See you guys later." I said waving. Jaden took my hand as we walked away. And Cole put his arm around Kate's shoulders. We could hear some of them gasp and we just laughed.
