Chapter Thirty: The Madness Nowadays

"What's the matter Glenn?"

"Well, umm, there are walkers in the barn and Lori's pregnant"

It becomes dead silent.

"Well, I don't fucking feel safe living a hundred feet away from walkers!" Said Shane

"I talked to Hershel and he said they're people with a disease. Plus I went and looked at the barn and it is safe!" Said Dale.

"I don't give a fuck, I ain't gonna let Carl get bit or anyone else!" Shane

"Calm down everyone! Now, we'll go take a look and then I will talk with Hershel." Said Rick

"Whatever, like he's gonna do shit!" Shane

Afterwards we all headed to the barn and checked it out.

Daryl walks with me. I attempted to grab his hand but he wouldn't let me!

"What's wrong?"

"Nothin!"

"I thought you weren't going to be a bitch, well here!" I handed him the neckless he gave me and walked faster.

"Shut the fuck up Grace and Daryl!"

"Shane go fuck yourself!"

"Come over here Shane! Now!"

Shanes walks over and throws and hits. Daryl hits him in the gut but then I step in the middle and got hit right in the side of the head and I black out.

I wake up to find Shane and Daryl screaming at one another outside of my tent. I walk out and Daryl quickly runs to me and holds me like I was stumbling so I push him away.

I look at Shane and his face is soo bloody from Daryl.

"Sorry Grace it won't happen again!"

"Apology not excepted, you will have to prove it. You never say shit about me or Daryl or lie a finger on either one of us or I WILL kill you!"

He walks off and then Daryl grabs me.

"Hey, you forgot somethin"

"What?"

He pulls out the necklace and puts it on me and kisses me. We hear someone say "Aww" and it is Carol.

"You two are so cute" she smiles and walks away.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it"

"Daryl, you are more hormonal then me!" I laughed under my breath.

"I know, I jus never had anyon love me 'fore"

"Merle, didn't he love you?"

"No, he was always in juvy for most of ma life. He doesn't love me, he cares for me"

"Well, My Darkened Angel, I love you!"

"I loo.."

"Daryl you up for takin that barn down?"

"Fuck yeah!" He throws a gun and looks at me. I run in my tent and grab my pistol. We quickly run to the barn and we find Rick and Hershel with walkers and some kind of pole with rope guiding the walkers.

I take off my safety and and Shane goes on how they aren't people and if they were why is the girl walker Hershel's holding keeps coming at him. Then he shoots her in the head and starts to open the door.

The walkers slowly poor out while Daryl, Shane, T-dog, Andrea, and I are shooting them when the rest are watching. Even Hershel's family.

Rick's screaming at Hershel to do something but he is just kneeling on the ground with Beth and Maggie crying while holding onto his shoulders. Then Shane turns and shoots Rick's walker.

Finally, the last walker is shot by Daryl. It seemed like we had been shooting for forever!

Once we thought all the walkers had been shot then we hear some moans and groans. Then little girl shoes pop out and it is Sophia.

Carol runs toward her but Daryl stops her. Everyone was shocked, including Shane. I didn't expect her to be in some psychos barn!

Rick cocks his gun and points it at her head and shoots her.

Everyone has tears coming out, Daryl, had red eyes.

"I want your people off of my farm by tomorrow!" Said Hershel.

Silence, Carol pushes Daryl away and runs to Sophia when a walker pops up and grabs her.

I reacted and shot it in the head. Then Carol disappears.

Everyone helps with getting to burn the bodies but we're going to bury Sophia, Hershel's ex-wife, and step son. I helped dig but then Daryl took the shovel from me and gave me a quick kiss and whispered "I love you"

'Oh my god, Daryl just said I love you! Grace does that mean you are now "dating?" No, you can't in the world like it is now. It is just a bond! Yeah, a bond. Oh fuck It Grace you are dating.'

I get a bucket to fill it up with with water for everyone who's digging. I deliver it to them but they are all finished when Daryl pulls me aside.

"I love you, I don't wan ya to end up like Sophia! I couldn't loose ya!"

"Daryl, you are amazing and I love you. We need each other to survive. I couldn't loose you!"

I pull him into me and kiss him! The kiss relieved my tears for awhile, lifting me and taking me out of this horrid world we live in. "You have the most beautiful blue eyes I have seen on a man Daryl!"

"Yers are more bluer then mine!"

We all head back to the firepit and all ask where's Carol.
