Slowly I open my eyes and looked around. I saw the sun was up high and shining bright.

I look over and Daryl who was still asleep with his arms wrapped around me. I knew if I moved I would wake him so I stayed in that one spot thinking of how are we going to survive this winter? We might not always be able to sleep in a cabin. I was worried for Carl more so then the rest of us because he was just a kid and really shouldn't be exposed to the cold.

I felt Daryl's arm slowly retract from me so I rolled over and saw him smiling at me. It had been a long time since I had saw him smile.

"Good morning Sunshine. Your smile is beautiful, you should smile more often."

He scoffs before saying, "G'mornin Beautiful."

'Now I think I am fucked because I smiled like the biggest idiot in the world.'

I leaned into him and whisper into his ear, "You're the one that is beautiful but you just don't see it. You are Daryl!"

Just as I was getting up Daryl pulls me into his arms and looks deep into my eyes before kissing me. This kiss was different, it wasn't just your normal kiss it was something different that I had never experienced before. It was a kiss that I could not explain but the only thing I could was there was passion and love.

We hear footsteps approaching and instantly look to find Lori quickly coming in followed by Rick.

We get up and I see Beth starring at me. I never did seem to be on her list of people who she liked.

"Good afternoon Grace and Daryl."

"Good afternoon Rick."

Rick walks a foot and turns and looks at us.

"There is some food on the counter in the kitchen for you guys."

"Okay, thanks."

We walked into the kitchen that was just around the corner and there was a two apples and two oranges set out for us.

"You chose which ones ya want. I don't care."

"That means I get both." I winked at him and grabbed the oranges.

We walked back to the living room and ate our fruit.

Everyone didn't know what to do, we all just really sat there.

Daryl gets up and walks to the front door.

"Ya comin?"

"Sure."

I heard Beth let out a scoff as I got up.

I grabbed my leather jacket and Daryl's vest and handed it to him.

Daryl opened the door for me and we took watch from Glenn. He handed me my crossbow and I wrapped it around my shoulders.

I sat down on the steps and let out a heavy sigh to relief my thoughts.

"What's wrong?" Daryl said while sitting down next to me.

I got up and unwrapped my bow and sat it right next to me. I sat back down and put my head on his shoulder.

"Being with you always helps."

He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.

I heard a twig break and Daryl released me. I grabbed my bow and looked into the scope.

It seemed not to be a walker but possibly a human being.

"I think it is a person Daryl, what do I do?"

"Hell if I know, go get Rick."

I nodded yes and handed him my bow.

I quickly rushed in and found Rick in the kitchen with Lori.

"Rick, I am sorry to interrupt but we have a problem." I whispered.

"I'm coming."

Rick followed me out front.

As soon as I opened the door the mysterious man was ten feet in front of Daryl charging him. Daryl was just about to pull the trigger when I yell stop.

"What the fuck are you assholes doing in my fucking cabin." The man rised a shotgun towards me.

"Just calm down, there is no need to rise your weapon, we will leave right now. We didn't eat anything or mess anything up. Please just don't hurt us." Rick said smoothly.

"Yer fine piece of ass is stayin with me while you two fuckin leave." The man raised his voice.

"To hell she ain't."

The man pointed his gun at Daryl.

In a blink of an eye a arrow goes right through his head.

"What the hell?" I said.

T-dog comes down from a ladder that is to the side of the cabin.

"Damn, I didn't want to have to do that."

"Thank you T-dog!" I said.

"No problem Grace."

Daryl runs and gets the bolt and hands it to T-dog who reloads the crossbow and climbs back up the ladder.

"Rick, I think we should leave. He might have more friends with him, I don't want to deal with that again."

"You two go scout for another cabin, take the crossbows. We will be fine without them."

"Okay."

"Give T-dog this before you go though."

Rick opens the door and grabs a riffle and hands it to me. Plus the keys to Raquel's truck.

I head up the ladder and trade T-dog weapons. I thanked him again and crawled back down. I grabbed the backpack that contained our smokes.

"Do you mind driving Daryl?"

"No."

I handed Daryl his bow and he handed me mine.

He starts the truck as I climb in. I sat in the passengers seat and rolled down the window just enough to smoke.

Daryl drove in silence, I had to get to the bottom of what was going on.

"Daryl, what's the matter?"

"Nothin."

"I won't take that as an answer! Tell me what is wrong."

"I thought he was goin to rape ya. I don't wan shit to happen to ya."

I put my smoke in a bottle of water that had all of Raquel and I's cigarettes.

I scooted over to Daryl and put my hand on his before saying, "I was worried that he was going to shot you but then I thought what the fuck? Daryl Dixon would let a punk ass kill him? Hell no that won't happen."

He let out a chuckle and wrapped his arm around me.

"Yer right. That shit won't fuckin happen."

I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder.

I kissed his check and look out the window to find...
