That night, Gunner had been on night guard to make sure Adriana and Libitina didn't get out as Quietus left to go do something. He didn't seem too happy after getting off the phone earlier and that sunk his mood for the rest of the day. Gunner wasn't quite sure what had gotten him mad or why he left as his best friend had gone with nothing other than a, "Good luck," and disappeared into the night, but he figured it was important.

"Go to sleep," Gunner yawned to the girls. Glancing at the clock, he saw that the blinking bright neon green numbers made 11:28. It was best they went to sleep earlier seeing as they'd wake up in a few hours for a new day. However, Libitina and Adriana completely ignored him and instead watched the television. They needed preoccupation after rudely being kidnapped and forced into being a killer for the Grim Reaper. Libitina was sure that she was dreaming and she'd wake up, and wanted to enjoy the nightmare before entering the real world of her father dying. Once Gunner realized telling them to sleep was pointless and that they'd sleep when they wanted, he decided to slip into the computer chair and watch the program as well. He could tell it was the nightly news and was ready to get up and stop watching but he realized the irritating anchors were discussing murders, and it interested him.

"...Going to Kelly on the scene of the homicides."

"Hi, Bill, yes, I'm here at the Wesley Station in downtown San Francisco where Annie Phillips, her brother, Aaron Phillips, and Aaron's best friend Ollie Henderson's bodies were found. According to the only witness, there hadn't been anybody at the station other than a Caucasian woman, 5'6", hazel eyes, and blonde hair. She had also disappeared. She has been suspected to also have been abducted; if you find her, please contact your local police station..." Gunner watched intently before snorting.

"That's obviously Casey!" he mused to himself before muttering that he wondered how she had been.

For the first time after being trapped in the alley, Adriana actually spoke to Gunner.

"You know the girl?" she whispered. She sounded like a mouse.

"Yeah, her name's Casey. She's a friend of mine-"

"Really? Who is she? The Tooth Fairy?" she growled out. Gunner held back a smirk before continuing.

"Actually, she's a demon-"

"Ugh," Libitina quietly whined, leaning back onto the floor and covering her face with her hands. "Demons... Demons... I knew this was satanic shit."

"No," Gunner chuckled loosely. "Not religious demons; death demons. They're good people. They work with us. And they won't hurt you unless they have to. They're quite nice," he smiled fondly. Adriana shot him a disgusted look.

"I knew I should've gone to church camp," she grumbled.

Gunner shook his head. "Do you guys want anything?"

"You kidnapped us, aren't you supposed to be an asshole?" Adriana grunted. "Oh wait, you are one."

"If we're going to have to work together, I figured we might as well be friends."

"Oh, no, we're not friends," she coldly shrugged him off. "You kidnapped us."

"It was either that or you died," he sighed.

"I'd prefer to be dead. It's not like my mom and dad aren't waiting for me there," Libitina responded in a hushed voice. Gunner and Adriana froze, both unaware of how to respond to that. Adriana considered going up to her and rubbing her like her old cat Socks, but voted against that. Gunner watched her before the newscast spoke again.
