It was about three days after I talked to Claire. She went on vacation with her mom to go see her dad in Japan. Her dad was sort of a big deal. He managed a big pop music business, he was like the "Stephen Spielberg" of Japan.

So while Claire was gone it gave me some time to relax and just hang around the house. Me and my mom went out to the movies. I went to the museum one day, and then the last day I just stayed home and slept a lot.

I went and met Claire and her mom at the airport, then we are all planning on going out to dinner after that.

We went to Oregano's because Claire's mom was craving Italian. I saw a few waiters at the restaurant keep looking at Claire. Which made me sick because some of them were like 20  years older than her. She noticed it also but she didn't do anything, honestly I would have made a scene but I saw Claire seemed to like it.

"Oh, so Mady" Claire's mom started, "So Claire has been telling me about you and Harry." She smirked. I glared at Claire, giving her the "We will talk later" look. "Yeah, he asked me out about a two weeks ago I was really shocked."

Mrs. Richmond laughed. "Awe young love." How cliché I thought about every single adult I know has said that to me since me and Harry started going out.

The rest of the night we talked about me and Harry, and about Claire getting a job. I laughed pretty much during that whole conversation. Her mom has been bothering her to get a job forever, but she keeps losing her résumés. We finally got the check while listening to one of her crazy stories of how she lost the papers this time.

On the way home I got a text from my mom asking when I would be getting home. I told her about an hour. Also if Claire could spend the night. Of course she said yes. Claire came over so often that she pretty much had a dresser of her own.

We got home about fifteen minutes later to my mom fast asleep on the couch. So we snuck up stairs to my room, taking a bin of ice cream with us.

"Hey, what was it you were saying to me the other night when my phone died?" Crap, screw it I said to myself I'm telling her. "Well I was saying that.." she looked at me with pleading eyes, shoving a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth. "He um well tried to .... kiss me"

The mouthful of ice cream dropped out of her mouth into the bin. "OK I am not eating that anymore." I said trying to lighten the mood. Then suddenly she smiled. I was surprised, wondering what was going through her head. "Hey girl you are only 17 I do not want any PDA going on here." she started cracking up. She was laughing so hard she fell of the bed curled up in a ball on the floor.

"ok I know that that was surprising news but you don't have to laugh, I need help I don't know how to tell him I don't want to kiss him. So you should stop laughing and help me figure this out! Claire stop it" I said starting to chuckle. Then before I knew it I was on the floor laughing with her.

Then she darted off the floor and onto the bed. She grabbed my phone and ran into the bathroom locking the door. Pounding over and over I said, " Hey Claire what are you doing, unlock the door, give me my phone back!" Then I heard her talking.

"Oh hey Harry it's Mady." Oh no way! "Yeah I know, I uh have caller I.D., so why did you call?" She replied with something I would never say. "Can we hang out again soon?" I am going to KILL her! "Yeah when do you want to hang out? I am free all week." I could hear him on speaker phone. "We can hang out tomorrow at the pier." The pier? why not like somewhere with a little bit more people. "Yeah sounds fun I'll meet you there around seven." She replied perkily, "Yay! can't wait see you tomorrow Bye! love ya!" What I would never say love you to him, well at least yet.

She came out smiling evilly. As soon as she came out I punched her really hard on the arm. "Hey I just got you a free date why would you be mad." Oh I have a reason to be mad. "He is suppose to ask me on the date not me asking him!" To be honest I really did want to go on the date I really want to I mean us at the pier together on the beach, It did sound fun. So I smiled forgiving her. "oh come on it will be fun just try it out." I nodded smirking, finally agreeing.
