Meant To Be

Chapter 17

I fluttered open my eyes. The bright light shone in through my window. Last night went by so fast it was already morning. I don't even remember getting home. I sat up checking my phone seeing that I had three new texts from Harry and a missed call from my mum. I opened my inbox to see three new goodmorning messages.

"Hello  Mady! Morning!"

"Can't wait to see you!"

"I love you, let's go somewhere today!??"

I smiled, he was so cute I loved how he always would text me goodmorning. I replied.

"Morning Harry! Yes I want to go some where, I will call you in a few minutes!"

I got up and went into the bathroom to shower. The warm water felt relaxing on my cold back. I finally was relaxed, and I wish I could take a shower forever. Maybe with Harry with me. I rinsed the conditioner out of my hair and rinsed the wash off my face.

When I stepped out of the shower I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around me as fast as I could. It was particularly cold today. I went into my room and slipped on jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I pulled my hair back and slipped on my chucks. My hair felt cold on my back and I felt my shirt slowly start to sop up the water as it dripped off the ends of my hair.

When I got downstairs I realized that my mum wasn't home. I grabbed a bowl of cereal and then sat down at the couch to turn on my cartoons. Scooby Doo was on I haven't watched it since I was little, it was my favorite show. I sat munching on cheerio's as I watched the mystery machine drive into a secret cave. When suddenly I heard a knock at the door.

I opened it slowly. It was a strange man  in a dark suit with chocolate brown hair and Italian leather shoes. "Yes?" I have no idea who this man is. "Yes, I am here on behalf of your rent, may I talk to the home owner?" I looked around. "Well currently she's not here can I leave a message or something?" He nodded," please give this to her. Thank you." and he walked back to his car then drove off so suddenly.

I opened the letter. It was one of our bills.

Currently your rent is 1000$ and you have not yet pai for another  two months. If you do not pay in the next two weeks we will be forced to remove you from your home. Thank you, please get back to us as soon as possible

~Insurance company

I looked up my mum owes over 1000 euros. I was shocked how was this happening, we could get kicked out of our house. I had to talk to my mum. Where was she? She needed to get home. Then suddenly, as if on cue she walked in the front door with her purse and car keys.

"Mum! Where were you!" she looked surprised. "I leave you alone all the time what's the matter love?" I handed her the bill. "This is the matter! How come you haven't been paying?" Her smiled dropped and she took the letter.

"Well I just haven't been getting enough, but trust me I am working on it I already have about four hundred." I impatiently turned and sat on the couch.

"Well four hundred is not going to work mum we still  need six hundred." She sat next to me. It's okay hunny we will figure something out." she said trying to encourage me. I got up and walked to my room ." okay" that was all I could say.

I was in the car getting ready to call Harry. It rang once then he answered. "ello!" I smiled at the sound of his voive. "HI love I'm on my way finally I'm so sorry it took so long I have something I need to talk to you about." the other side was quiet for a minute."Oh sorry, okay I will see you then I can't wait to see you when will you get here?" I looked at my phone clock then put the phone back up to my head. "Um. around four?" I could hear him say OK! enthusiastically. Then we said good bye and hung up.

I pulled into the driveway and came to a stop. Then got out of my car. When I walked up to the front door it opened immediately. "Oh hi love!" I said  as I noticed Harry's face."Hey I have news!" "He ushered me in and then after I said hi to his mum we went up to his room. " So, what's the news?" He smiled "Actually, you have to wait we are going out today, then you can stay here! Sounds fun right!" I nodded with a big smile on my face until I remembered that I could be homeless in two weeks, but I decided not to ell him quite yet.

We drove off and first stopped at the store we got two pounds of bread and two bottles of water. Harry wouldn't tell me what for but I just went with it. After that we stopped at the pet store and got dog treats. I was quite confused, until we pulled into the park. "OH yay!" I yelled

"So first we are feeding the ducks and then I have something fun we can do." We walked and found our favorite tree, by the duck pond.

The tree has our name carved in it. We did it when we were about seven years old. The tree hung over the pond with small branches that hung in the water. There was a branch that silhouetted us perfectly it laid over the top of the pond. and was big enough for the two of us to sit on. I climbed up and he followed.

" Look!" he yelled pointing at a group of small baby swans swimming behind their mother. I smiled and watched them mimic their mum. Suddenly I felt a hand slip over mine, I turned to see Harry's hand covering mine. Then when I looked up his face was there and he lightly kissed me. It felt so soft yet sincere all at the same time. I loved his kisses. They were always so kind and it didn't feel like he wanted to rush anything. Our lips moved together. Making it the perfect moment with the sun setting behind and a family of swans in front.

Finally, I pulled back for a breath and saw his gorgeous hazel eyes looking back into mine. "The swans are so cute." I said softly, it was the only thing I could think of to say.He laughed then leaned in to kiss me. I let him kiss me again as his soft liips touched mine it reminded me of Sam, but II remembered how stupid he was and forgot everything about everything and suddenly it was just me and Harry there in our tree in that moment.

It was nearly ten o'clock when we got back to his house. I went up and put on my jams' he always has set aside for me. Then I pulled out my hair and went to pull the covers back on his bed.

"Hey Mady?" I looked up from the bed. "Yeah?" He hesitated. " Maybe do you think" he paused. "I could sleep with you tonight?" I smiled probably the biggest smile in the world I hoped he couldn't see my cheeks turn bright red. "I would love that." I got under the sheets and he shut off the lights, then came over and got under the sheets next to me.

I snuggled up next to his body feeling the warmth of his breath on the top of my head. "I love you." he whispered in my ear, "I love you too." I looked up to see a dark silouhette of his face looking down at me. Then I felt his arm wrap around my body and he squeezed tighter to me. I then curled up into a ball and nuzzled my head into his chest.

I have always wanted to know how that felt, sleeping with him. To be honest he was an amazing cutler. I loved the way he always knew how to make me feel better. and how he always did things for me. Then I tilted my head up and kissed him on what I thought was the lips. I kissed him lightly then pulled away. It was silent for a moment so I didn't know if he fell asleep or what. Then I heard him whisper.

"That was my chin." I started laughing so hard I fell asleep eventually forgetting that he never told me his big news.
