Jaxson watched Timothy with a constant glare. A glare full of hatred and disapproval, a glare Timothy hadn't even noticed was towards him, for his attention was fully focused on Mattie.
Jaxson thought about the blond boy all day during school. He envisioned how it would feel to wrap his hands around his pale neck, watching it turn red around his fingers as his face turned blue. He grinned to himself at the thought, however that grin vanished quickly at the sight of him leaning over Mattie's desk.
He watched his lips in an attempt to read them, but could only seem to see Mattie and her mouth that curved into a smile as she laughed at whatever he was saying to her.
"The bell has rung, in your seats!" The teacher instructed loudly.
Jaxson kept his dark eyes on the eyes of his opposite. He hated the way he wore bright colors and always smiled, while he himself wore dark and strictly only smiled at Mattie, the girl that taught him that not everything in the world has to be a living hell.
Jaxson took in the trail of Timothy's expensive smelling cologne as he walked down the isle of desks, still wearing that smile that Jaxson desperately wanted to tear off of his face.
He then sat right next to the boy in black, and it took him just then to realize that the blond had been sitting there since the first day of school.
Jaxson watched from his side view as Timothy pulled his notebook out from his blue backpack along with a black pen that accidentally rolled off of his desk, and of course, next to Jaxson's foot.
Timothy looked over to him, slightly intimidated by the muscles bulging from his black short sleeve t-shirt. He swallowed hard, and finally asked for him to pass his pen over.
"Get it yourself." Jaxson barked in a hushed whisper as the teacher began to instruct.
Timothy appeared slightly taken back, but said no more before getting on his feet and kneeling next to him, grabbing his pen in one swift movement.
He then sat back at his desk, only looking towards Jaxson once more before opening his notebook and writing down the assignment for the day. Mattie mirrored everything that he was doing, and it bothered him from how alike they were.
Jaxson craved to be just like Mattie even though he knew he would never be even close, but at the same time he liked the way they differed.
The way she practically oozed innocence while he radiated darkness and an inner evil that Mattie had yet to figure out. It was beyond sexy to him that he was her first, and he wanted desperately to be her last.
Jaxson blocked out most of the words coming from the unknown teachers mouth, for his attention was still greatly focused on Mattie and the way her hand was tangled through her dark hair that she left down for the day instead of tied up.
"Now, for this assignment you'll need to be in partners." Jaxson rolled his eyes at the only words that caught his attention. He hated partner work when it wasn't with Mattie.
And just as he predicted, the boy beside him was one of the first to stand up and practically run to her, causing Jaxson's skin to crawl and jaw to clench.
Mattie smiled again at his presence, and before Jaxson could even think of standing on his feet and pulling him up by his fancy polo shirt, a girl tapped on his shoulder with a smile spread across her freckled face.
Jaxson turned his head in annoyance towards the girl, noticing her fiery red hair before anything else.
"Do you wanna be partners?" She asked sweetly, a bit of nervousness tangled in her voice.
He looked back towards Mattie that was glancing at him at that very second. She looked away almost instantly, her cheeks visibly flushed. He watched as she tried to cover it with a fake smile towards Timothy, and finally he returned his now saddened gaze back to the red head that he knew not of.
"Sure." Jaxson replied dryly, his voice containing no emotion.
He knew exactly what Mattie was thinking. She was thinking that he was going to try something with the unknown girl because of past occurrences, however he promised himself that he would never make that same mistake again.

The rest of the class period went by smoothly. They completed a reading packet, with her, which he learned was named Christy, doing most of the work of course since all Jaxson did was look at Mattie and the curve of her plump lips as she smiled. It was starting to really drive him insane that he couldn't drag his thumb across them before kissing her softly like he always used too.
He wanted to kiss her lips and nibble at her neck to leave marks so everybody knew she belonged to the boy in black. He wanted to tangle his hand through her hair and show her how much he loved her in his own way, while afterward doing it her way by dancing in his living room half naked along to old songs just like he knew she loved.
"So you'll be coming to my recital tonight?" Jaxson overheard Mattie ask Timothy outside of their classroom door shortly after the last bell rang for the day.
Her recital was tonight, Jaxson thought, knowing that he had forgotten something.
He closed his eyes just then and thought back to that better time when he had Mattie all to himself.
"You're coming to my recital right?" She smiled and moved her hands through his dark, soft hair.
"Of course, baby." He pecked her lips and moved side to side to the music with his hands on her hips. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."
Mattie blushed, and he moved one of his hands from her waist and onto her cheek, moving it up and down just to see her smile more.
"I love you, Jaxson." She whispered against his neck after she hugged him tightly, feeling his warmth against her own cold body.
He then moved his large hand against her bare back, warming her skin by moving it upward and downward, placing a trail of kissing down her jaw and finally to her neck.
"I love you, Mattie. More than I think you'll ever know."
Jaxson blinked back into reality with unexpected moisture filling his eyes, for it wasn't real. It was all a flashback, and he hated flashbacks almost as much as he hated reality. Simply because they were over, while he wanted to desperately replay them.
He furiously wiped away at his eyes, feeling absolutely pathetic as he watched the girl he love walk out of the school doors with a boy that Jaxson guessed was a virgin. He imagined that he got off at home in the dark to church girl porn and prayed for forgiveness afterward.
He wanted to laugh at his thoughts, however he lacked the encouragement to do so with Mattie so close to somebody else. He couldn't take it. He wouldn't take it.
And he intended to tell her that himself just that night.
