Cry baby, cry

Chapter 2

The song was fading out and the next one began. "Are you looking forward to everything?" He said. "Offcourse. I really am. I love the idea that we are going to spend so much time together. Just us two" I said. "Hmm, what do you mean by that sweetie?"  He said and smiled at me. We hqdn't spoken much since we began to drive, but that's because it's early in the morning. We're tired. But at some point you get to the moment where you dó wake up and start talking more. You are slowly waking up, and suddenly, you are ready to do stuff. I hummed along with the Beatles.

DEAR PRUDENCE, WON'T YOU COME OUT TO PLAY. DEAR PRUDENCE, GREET THE BRAND NEW DAY. THE SUN IS UP. THE SKY IS BLUE. IT'S BEAUTIFUL, AND SO ARE YOU. DEAR PRUDENCE.

"Are you in for a snack?" He said, and I shook my head. I had just eaten, so no thank you. I wasn't ready for the strong taste of fat or suger or salt in my mouth.

It was getting lighter, as the sun came up. I hugged a pillow tight. " are we almost there yet?" I asked him. I'm very impatient. Bad habit. I can't help it. "We're halfway". Sigh.And then it was quiet for a very long time.

"Do you see a future in us?" I asked
"What do you mean by that?"
"Do you think we will still be together when we are older? Will we have kids? I mean, it's a time far ahead of us, but do you think...-"
"Yes... Yes... I think we will still be together when we have kids, and we're going to have three kids by the way."
"Really? Ahhh! That's wonderful!"
We both laughed without making a sound but we both knew that we were really really happy.

"Are we almost there yet? (Please let us be, let us be, let us be)"
"No" was his answer. "But it won't take long until we get to the boat" he said. He looked at me (don't worry, the car stood still, so we wouldn't bump in to anything (traffic)) and smiled like he was saying 'I love you'. I was going to lean in, if that ass of a person in the car behind us didn't honk and say "YOU SHITS! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!" 'Honkhonk'.

I said asshole to the man (through my window, he didn't hear me, luckily) and we were driving again. I can't wait to arrive.

We got on the boat and we immediately stepped out of the car, to find the best seats near a window. We found an empty place and threw all our stuff on the table. I sat down and let out a deep sigh. "Want to go look outside?" He asked and I (offcourse) said  "YES" . We left some things so no one would take our seats.
When we were outside I asked a stranger if he could take a picture of me and my boyfriend while we were playing the famous scene from 'Titanic' (nice film. But lets be honest, Leonardo Dicaprio....not the greatest actour I've ever seen).

We had bought a "fujifilm insta x mini 8 camera' which is just a camera, only it prints out the pictures immediately.
The reason we bought it is that 1. it's fun 2. we want to make a beautiful book about this trip, so we can put all the pictures in the book, and 3. it's a way to curse on all the social media from nowadays. We promised eachother that we will not put anything on the internet about this trip. This is our trip, so let's keep it that way.
