(The picture is the appartement. It really exists on Terschelling. It's called 'familiehuis VESTA')

Our appartement was big. And not just a bit larger than small, but big. It was an appartement for 12 people. But luckily, we're not going to sit here for a week on our own. There are more people who will come. Some will stay the whole week, others will only stay for two days.

We first had to go to the letter, because she has got the keys to the house.

'Knockknock'. I knocked on the door of the small house. An old lady opened the door and greeted us with "hello, you must be the tenants of 'familyhouse Vesta'?"
"Yes, yes we are!"
"Do you want some coffee, tea or something else?"
"No thank you (no interference please), we still got a lot to do. We need to buy food and others are coming, so we have to be prepared."
"Oh offcourse. Come inside so I can tell you everything about the appartement.
Here is a map of the island, this is the wificode, in the appartement is a map stuffed with a lot of info, if you break anything you have to pay for it. you can use the barbecue, but I don't think you're going to use it because it's winter. Kids are allowed in the house but we only have one bed for babies. There are six bedrooms, three with seperated beds and three with doublebeds. Some bedrooms have a TV, not all of them. Any questions?" She went really fast. But she was nice. She was smiling.
"Yes one question, where can we find a supermarket?"
"If you go to the east and follow the main road to 'Lies', you'll find one."
"Okay. Well thank you for everything and here's the deposit."
"Enjoy your stay here! Goodbye!"
We left.

We went to get our bikes and we cycled to the store. It was such an experience. I totally lost myself, in the frequent action of cycling, the infinite hills and dunen (i mean 'duinen' ) on this island. Actually I want to run as fast as I can through the dunes and, when I get tired, fall down on the ground and look at the sky till it's full of stars. But we had to go to the Spar. Maybe another time.

We got to the spar and bought all the food we needed. We bought a lot of food. Today, four people would arrive so we had to feed more mouths than only us two.

Back to the appartement. It was 3:30. Guests arrive at 6:30, enough time left to go to the beach and walk through the surf with two big big mugs in our hand (filled with the best tea of the land (we bought it from Dille & Kamille)). As we walked, the sky turned from blue to black with white bright spots.
Let me remind you that it's winter... So it's dark pretty soon and it was a bit chilly.
"You know what's fun?" He said, "to swim in the sea at night!" (Suddenly a nerd appears and says to them "that's because at night the sand is allready cooled off and the water cools off less rapidly. So the water is still pretty warm." The nerd disappears.)

It was crazy to think that we wanted to swim in the sea during winter, but in the Netherlands, anything is possible (even without money).

"We should do it once. At least once, this whole week" I said.
We went back to the appartement, full of joy. Everything was going as planned.
