Something's off

Alric's Pov (Right after last chapter)

Something is definitely wrong with Animila.

At first I thought it was just her healing but then it became constant. Each day it seemed like she had a different personality. And just now she switched five times.

I sit in my room on my bed wondering what I should do about this. Whatever this is.

How could she heal so quickly after being so sick? And more importantly why does she go from wanting to kill me to wanting me to stay with her?

From what I see five different moods appear. Anger, lonleyness, fear, hopefulness, and sympathy/care. And it seems she holds her head right before she goes crazy.

She also told "them" to shut up. Seeing that I was the only person there, something is going on in her head.

"What is going on?" I say falling back on my bed.

"Her spells are out of control."

"Who said that?" I say popping up.

I look around but I don't sense anyone. Finally my eyes land on my mirror. A woman stands there. She's gorgeous, just like a fairy.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"I am Animila's mother, Luna. And you my boy are Alric, ruler of the world." She replies.

"But I thought you died. How are you here? And how do you know who I am?" I ask.

"My body may be dead but my magic isn't. I know all that is happening with my daughter for I watch over her. And you are a big part in her life." She answers.

"So what did you mean by her spells are out of control?" I ask stepping closer to my mirror.

"For spells to work her mind and heart must be together. When she disappears both her mind and heart wants to disappear. If she wants to go but her heart wants to stay the spell will not work." She says.

"So she's not agreeing with her own self? I don't fully understand." I say.

"Her first spell to not love you anymore was never properly on. Her heart still wanted to love you. The disagreement between her heart and mind cause the spell to break slightly making her sick. To heal herself she used a spell that gets rid of the sickness but it's side affects are horrible. Her sanity begins to break as her heart is not whole. Her mind wants to hate you and fear you but her heart is lonely and wants to love you just like you love her." She explains.

"She loves me?" I say surprised.

"She always has. But out of fear she locked away her feelings. She felt the need to protect. To protect her friends and you. She didn't want you to suffer insanity because you couldn't handle power though you seem to be doing a pretty good job." She replies.

"Thanks I learned how when I captured Animila. She would hate me more if I didn't. How do I fix her?" I say.

"Unfortunately you can't. Both of her spells will break. With a divided heart and an insane mind it will be very dangerous. No doubt she will not be the girl you know. She will be in pain but insane. Only then can you help her. If you fail she may kill you and everyone else or she may die herself." She answers.

No that can't be. To help her I have to let her get worse.

"There is something you can do now. Do not let her use her magic. If she does she may make it worse on herself." Her mother says.

I see the seriousness and worry in her eyes.

"I understand." I say.

With a wave of my hand and some concentration I block her magic use. No matter what she won't be able to use magic. She is going to be so mad but anything to save her.

"Please save my daughter. Don't let her die. Love her and make her feel special. Please I beg of you." Her mother says to me.

"I promise. I will never let anything like that happen to her. I will love her for all eternity." I reply.

"Thank you." She says and fades away.

I look at myself in the mirror.

"I will save Animila."
