Hollywood, California – 2017

A flash of golden light briefly engulfed the backstage right area of the Muppet Theater. No one was near to witness the ethereal arrival of Christina Thomas and her newborn baby girl, Brandy, with their magical guide, Penz. Christina had not quite gotten to know this strange young woman, during her time back on Fantasia; all she did know about her was that she was another "amalgamated reincarnation" of her husband, Sean.

Penz's bare feet planted on the creaky wooden floorboards, as did Christina's. Her bright smile flourished as she looked around the empty room. "Home sweet home," she said. "Now, I've got to get back to Fantasia to help. Are you gonna be okay here?"

Christina diverted the question, asking one of her own most disconcertedly: "What about my husband? What about Sean? He's back there fighting in your stupid war – him and Natalie! They need their butts back here to raise our child!"

"They'll return, Chris," Penz calmly reassured.

"No, they won't." Christina committed herself into believing, her body visibly shaking as she held her baby girl. "I can feel it. Something'll happen that'll keep him from coming back."

Penz sighed, half a smile formed on her lovely young face. "Natalie will keep the both of them safe. Even though she's just half Guardian, she's still a Guardian regardless."

Christina still was not convinced. She faced away from Penz, looking down at the cooing Brandy, tears streaming from her eyes.

Knowing there was nothing else she could say, Penz prepared to depart for Fantasia. But she stopped once she heard the floorboards creak again. Neither she nor Christina moved. Their eyes were directed towards the intersecting area between backstage and main stage, spotting a familiar figure emerge from the shadows.

"Genevieve?" Christina uttered in surprise.

She was no more so than Penz, who noted an obvious change in Genevieve's appearance from when she last saw her on Fantasia. Her hair was blond, and her eyes were bright blue. "You're back in Guardian form," she deduced from this shift in features. "How did you manage that?"

Genevieve nervously twiddled her fingers. "I...I'm not the Genevieve you left behind on Fantasia. I'm...from the future. The Fantasia War is all in the past for me."

Penz beamed at this. "Then you know who won?"

"Well..."

"Which side was it? The Empire? Us?"

"I don't know, Penz!" Genevieve exclaimed, notably frustrated. "I somehow returned to the future of this dimension before the war ever ended."

Christina approached her, with hopeful yet reddened eyes. "Do you know if Sean ever makes it back?"

Genevieve hesitated on an answer; that was the thing about knowing the future – some things were too dire to reveal. Specifically, what she knew about Sean and Natalie would certainly devastate Christina, turning her into the bitter woman that she met, shortly after returning to the Muppetverse in 2044.

The best she could do was put on a phony smile and lie: "They will. They'll be back to help raise you and our little girl." She glanced down at the infant Brandy, hugged close to Christina's bosom. To think, it was only hours ago when she last saw her as a fully-grown, gorgeous woman.

"Oh, thank you," a superbly relieved Christina expressed to Genevieve. "You are a lifesaver. If there's anything I can do to..."

"Actually," Genevieve was quick to take the offer, "I was wondering if maybe I can continue to stay here at the theater with you all."
