We woke late the next day about mid noon.
Everyone was up before me, Aaron was sitting on a log sharpening a stick to make it a spear, and Amy was staring off into the distance with a blank look on her face clearly thinking while she ran her hands through her long thick blond hair.
"We thought we should let you sleep", since you had a rough couple of day" said Aaron.
I don't answer just nod " I am going go get cleaned off" I declare
" don't be too long" " we got to get moving we wasted a lot of the day here." Aaron warns.
"I won't"
I walk to a stream that is near bye and strip off my stinky clothes and squat by the stream to wash my clothes, I scrub them as good as I can and then set the on a large rock to my left to let them air dry.
Then I dive into the icy cold water, it's gives me a chill down my spine and stinks. Cleaning out all my fresh wounds.
I lay in the water for a bit , it's warm out so I hope out and trow on my wet clothes whatever.
I book it back to camp Amy and Aaron are waiting, he hands me my pack I mouth a thanks at him and set off.
Amy trails behind not saying anything which is odd for her, something is different with her.I zone out and began to think, suddenly Aaron grands by back and barrel rolls over to a bush , and luckily Amy follows.
" Aaron whats going on" I ask
"Raiders" is all he says that shuts me up real quick. " listen up we haven't got much time before they find us you guys need to stay here okay, I will draw them away".
" what"? " no Aaron" protests Amy
" it's the only chance we have" he tells her.
She opens her mouth then closes it relishing that he is right.
" I will meet up with you guys somehow" ? He says almost like a question
" okay" " go" I tell him then add " be safe"
He walks past Amy and squeezes her shoulder.
And he is gone
