chapter 2

I knocked at Jesse's door at 8:00 Saturday morning. The outside looked so empty without the curtains up. 

"hey babe" he said opening the door. I couldn't help but blush at what he was wearing; or moreover what he wasn't wearing. He had on a pair of sweatpants. that's it. I swear he has the most amazing body ever. 

'hi" i said shyly realizing that i was wearing booty shorts and a bralette with my toms.

"well don't just stand their come in"

looking at his house gave me a pang of sadness, but also reassurance. I was beyond upset that he was moving but I had faith that one day our paths would cross again.

"AVA!" Sophia screamed as soon as she saw me.

"Hi Soph!" i said picking her up and hugging her. "where's Lukey?"

"upstairs. want me to go get him?" 

"yeah, thank you Soph."

I didn't even realize I was crying until Luke pointed it out. 

"Ava why are you crying?" Luke asked when he saw me.

"I - I'm just gonna miss you guys" i laughed and cried at the same time.

"Ava i made you this" Sophia said handing me a friendship bracelet. 

"thank you Soph" i cried. "i'll wear it everyday. I got you guys a gift" 

I handed each of them a picture of each of our favourite memory. For Luke; a picture of me and him and a baby turtle we rescued. For Sophia; a picture of me and her at a tea party.

"thank you Ava" they said in unison. 

"your welcome guys" i said hugging them "listen i have to go, but i'll come and visit. i promise" i said  giving each of them a long hug.

"c'mon i'll walk you out" Jesse said 

"well i guess this is goodbye"  whispered.

"i guess so"

He pulled a necklace out of his pocket and put it around my neck.

"Jess-"

"shh, just look inside of it"

when i opened i let out a gasp. It was a picture of us at our first date. 

"Jesse you shouldn't have"

"i'm really gonna miss you babe" he whispered.

"i'm gonna miss you too" I said giving him one last kiss. "I'm gonna visit you guys soon. I promise."
