Simon's pov

"Teresa what do you mean Avalon isn't my real daughter?" I spoke to my ex- wife Teresa on the phone

"A week before we got together I was with Troy Austin. After he hit me, I left him. When we got together I had no idea I was already pregnant. I thought it was yours."

"And when were you going to tell me?"

"i- i don't know"

"Does Troy know he is Avalon's father?" 

"yes, i told him. But he said he wanted nothing to do with her."

"Avalon needs to know."

"give her a few days after recovery"

"fine." i said hanging up.

Niall's pov

Before Uncle Si came back in the room Avalon squeezed my hand. The nurse was in the room and she said Avalon was starting to wake up.

"Hey Uncle Si!" Louis said cheerfully. "the doctors said Avalon is starting to wake up." 

"so uncle Si did you find out who Avalon's dad is?"

"His name is Troy Austin, he is aware that he has a daughter but he doesn't want anything to do with her."

Louis gasped.

"If Troy is Avalon's father" Louis whispered "that mean she's my sister."

He grabbed her hand and started whispering to her.

"hey Ava, i'm sorry i've been mean to you. I promise i will be nice. even though i just found out you're my sister doesn't mean i won't love and protect you. please wake up Ava."

Seeing them right next to each other was a smack in the face by reality. I was dating my best friends younger sister! They looked so much alike.

"dad what's going on?" Avalon spoke softly. "why did Louis say i'm his sister?"

 "Ava, you and Louis have the same dad, and it isn't me."

"No dad you're lying! This isn't funny!" 

"Ava, i'm not lying."

"daddy, please don't make me leave"

"why would i princess? I'm still your dad, i've watched you grow up, i love you too the moon and back i don't care if i'm your biological father or not. You'll always be my little girl."

"Ms. Cowell? The doctor will do your procedure now, come with me"
