"Goodbye." I bow to the doctors that are in the same elevator with a tray of food in my hand. It's around 2 a.m., an hour where very few staff roaming around this hospital, and so, I was forced to come down to the cafeteria myself to grab some food for Jongin.
A soft yawn escapes my mouth as I step out of be elevator and make my way towards Jongin– our room. The soft sound of my slippers clink of the floor every few seconds, and I'm dreaming of just falling asleep.
"Oh my, Jongin. You're girlfriend will kill you if she finds out about this." A female's voice comes from Jongin's room. The female nurse that was just tempted to kiss him earlier, that's her voice. I stop in my tracks and just stand in front of the door.
"Shh, no one will find out if you just be quiet. I do love her, but you're quite the charm as well."
I bite my lip and turn around. This... isn't real, right? I'm just hallucinating and—
"Soojung."
Jin?
"Do you understand what I'm talking about now?" He whispers, taking the tray out of my hand and setting it onto the ground. Almost in tears, I feel my body stiffen as he takes my wrist and pulls me towards the waiting area without saying a word.
"I should've trusted you." I whisper and land my hand onto his. The touch of my hand has him stopping in his tracks.
"I'm going to be starting a new beginning, Soojung, very soon. I can't say what I'm doing, but it's going to be a tremendous change. The only reason I came here to find you was to say thank you."
And he leaves me there standing like an idiot without even looking back at me.
